"Y/N! Get down here or else you'll miss the bus!" Mom shouted up the stairs at me.

I look at my suitcase laying on my bed. I was being sent to somewhere called Gravity Falls to spend the summer with some cousins that I never knew existed.

"Can't I just stay here? I mean, I've already made hundreds of plans with my friends," I called back.

"If you don't get down here right now, then we'll send you without your phone." When I heard that, I hugged my phone to my chest, grabbed my suitcase, and ran downstairs. If I had to go spend the summer without my friends, then I at least should be able to text them.

When I got downstairs, my other suitcase was by the door, and my parents where standing there to say goodbye. The bus to take me away had already pulled up and was waiting for me to board.

Slowly, I walked out the door with one suitcase and up the steps of the bus. Dad handed me the other one when I had put the first down. I walked to the back of the bus and slumped down into a seat. The bus started up,we started driving away, and I pulled out my phone to text my friends the bad news.

Time skip cause bus rides are boring and no one wants to hear about it.

The bus stopped, and I looked up out the window. Mom had told me that I was going somewhere called Gravity Falls. I had never heard of it before, which just made me not want to go there even more.

We seemed to be in the middle of a pine tree forest. In each direction were hundreds of pine trees. Right in the middle, where we pulled up, was a clearing. In the clearing was a dingy shack. The sign on the roof read 'Mystery Hack'. You could see the outline where an 'S' was supposed to be, but apparently the S hated its life there and decided to commit suicide.

I walked in and saw a guy wearing a question mark shirt and a girl with red hair. The shack was filled with random people looking at a few odd-ball things for sale. I walked past everyone and walked towards the back. There, I ran into two kids who I presumed were my cousins. They looked like twins that were about twelve years old. The girl looked adorable and had brown waist-length hair, a pink headband, matching pink sweater with a shooting star on it, a purple skirt, and braces. The boy had short, messed-up brown hair, a blue and white hat with a blue pine tree on it, an blue vest with a orange shirt. He was carrying a book with a six fingered hand on it, which had the number three.

"HeymynameisMabelandIhaveapetpignamedWaddlesyouwannabemyfriend?!" The girl said in one breath. I didn't hear anything she said other than name, my, and you.

"She said 'Hey my name is Mabel and I have a pet pig named Waddles you wanna be my friend?' I'm Dipper Pines," the boy, Dipper, said calmly.

"Oh, well, I'm Y/N Pines-" As soon as Mabel heard my name, she let out a gasp and started jumping up and down.

"OHMYGOD!!!!!!GRUNKLESTANOURCOUSINISHERE!!!!!!!" Again, I didn't understand anything.

From a doorway to our right came an old man who looked to be in his 70's. He was scratching places I don't want to think of and wearing only a white tank and......HIS UNDERWEAR?!?

"What's going on here?" He continued to scratch in terrible places.

"OURCOUSINISHEREGRUNKLESTAN!!!!!" Mabel screamed again.

"Oh, well, show the kid to her room." Stan seemed unfazed by Mabel's screaming. I guess that living with Mabel meant that you got used to her screaming.

Mabel grabbed my hand and dragged me upstairs with Dipper following behind us. She showed me where my room was and started to drag me back out to show me things.

"Whoa. Don't you think that I should unpack and get used to my room before I get shown other things?" I gently pulled my hand out of Mabel's and grabbed my bag. I threw it on my bed and pulled the lid open. My clothes and other belongings spilled out onto my bed.

"See? I should probably unpack first," I said, pointing to the stuff spilling out.

"Okay. But later I'll show you everything there is to the Mystery Shack!" Mabel grabbed Dipper by the back of his vest and dragged him out. Dipper didn't seem to mind and just started to read his book.

I looked over at the bed and sighed. Slowly, I started to unpack my stuff and put it away.

Another time skip because unpacking things is super duper boring.

I hear footsteps running upstairs, and Mabel bursts into my room. Behind her is Dipper.

"Come on! It's time to meet Waddles and Lazy Susan and get dinner and talk about boys and..." Mabel continues to prattle on while grabbing me and dragging me downstairs. I'll most likely never be able to keep up with the kid.

When we got downstairs, the question mark dude from earlier was still there, but the red haired girl was gone. Stan had put on a suit, which I was thankful for. For some reason, he also had an eye patch under his glasses.

"That's Soos! He works here with us and Wendy! Dipper likes Wendy." Mabel grinned over at Dipper. I looked as well and saw that Dipper had hidden his bright red face in his book. I smiled and headed out the door with Mabel.

Yet ANOTHER time skip cause walks be boring.

Mabel, Dipper, Stan, and I were seated at a booth in some diner called Greasy's Diner. A woman with gray hair and a lazy eye came over to take our orders. I'm guessing that she was Lazy Susan. She pulled out her notepad and looked at us.

"So what can I get for you?" She asked.

"Pancakes for three. Don't know about her." Here Stan pointed at me. "And I'd prefer if I didn't have to pay for this."

"What can I get for you, dearie?" Lazy Susan turned towards me.

"Uh, I guess pancakes?" I said uncertainly .

"Coming right up." Lazy Susan turned and walked off to get our pancakes.

When she came back, she handed us each a plate of pancakes and walked away. I took a bite of one, and my mouth was filled with the flavor of coffee. I had never tasted coffee pancakes before, so this was extremely weird.

"Hey Mabel, can you pass the maple syrup please?" Dipper asked.

"No, but I can pass you the MABEL syrup!" Mabel put on an adorable grin while shaking the syrup bottle.

"Can you just pass the syrup?" Dipper clearly didn't appreciate Mabel's joke.

Pine trees and jokes. My summer's gonna be filled with pine trees and jokes. At least there's no monsters or anything like that.

Finally I'm done! So, for those of you who read the first attempt at this book, things might be a bit different/longer than the original book. Either way, I hope you guys enjoy!
