Eris's Pov:
In the Kingdom of Liones, three figures stand in the throne room. Approaching footsteps echo from the hall. A seemingly young man glances to the King and Princess.
"He'll be here soon enough, your majesties," I state.
"I know. If only I wasn't so blind all those years ago," the king replied.
"What are your orders, my King?" I ask. The king shifts his gaze between his daughter and myself.
"The Holy Knight have betrayed the Kingdom. Our only hope resides with the former heroes, I now realize were falsely accused of being traitors. My dear Elizabeth, while I know it is a heavy burden, I must ask you to gather the Seven Deadly Sins and save our kingdom."
"I...Of course, Father," the princess answered.
"However, you will not go alone in this endeavor. I want Eris to go with you." The princess looks over to me. "Unknown Eighth Sin, Eris Cord, the Winged Wolf Sin of Entropy, do you accept the mission of protecting my daughter and aiding her in her quest?"
"Yes, your Majesty."
"Then go, while there is still time." I carefully lift the princess and take off at inhumane speeds. Evading the knights, I take her to place to rest in moderate safety.
"The knights may not know of my existence, but they will be after you soon enough. If we want to escape and find the other deadly sins, you'll need a disguise." Just as I said that a suit of rusty armor falls out of the closet. Elizabeth reaches for it, but grab her shoulder and shake my head. "That would be too heavy as well as draw unwanted attention, but it does give my an idea." I drop my pack on the ground and pull out a spare suit of light leather armor. "It is enchanted to be as strong as steel and the hood will shadow your face to prevent people from recognizing you." I step out of the room, so she could change.
"O-ok, I am done," She called out. Stepping back into the room, I sling my pack onto my back.
"Well, we already have some supplies, so it would be best to get away from the capital as soon as possible." I glanced over to her. "We can move quicker if I carry you, your highness...If that's alright?"
"Y-yes, Sir Eris," she stuttered.
"Please, Princess, just call me Eris. I am no Lord or Knight."
"Only if you call me Elizabeth."
"...Deal," I say with a smirk. Carefully I lift her up bridal style, and taking her away from the castle.
