"Oh my gosh! What happened to you?"

Sean arrived home, greeted by his mother who was sitting on one of their grey couches. She shot up and hurried to her son's side. Grabbing his face as softly as she could, she inspected the visible bruises on Sean's face and neck. "Who did this to you?"

Pulling away from his mother grasp, Sean said, "Don't worry about it."

"Sean, I am your mother. I will always worry about 'it'. Whatever 'it' is."

"Mom, please."

The older woman sighed. "I'll interrogate you tomorrow. It's late anyways."

Sean gave his mom a small smile before heading up the stairs. He passed his room and went straight to Williams room.

Knocking on the door, Sean listened for any sign of the smaller boy. "Yeah?" Sean slowly opened the white door. The guilt hit him upon seeing the boy. He was laying down on his back, his head facing the far wall opposite of the door.

"Oh Willy." Sean closed the door behind him, kneeling besides the boy who was laying on the brown carpeted floor. The pain grew stronger now. He knew how much William liked Edward and yet, Sean being a bad brother, still slept with him.

"What do you want Sean?" Williams voice was harsh and coarse. He shifted to his side, his back facing Sean.

"I just wanted to check on you."

"Well you don't need to."

"Willy-"

"Just go Sean."

Silence floated over the two. Sean sighed, a small, gentle tear rolling down his cheek. He didn't care what anyone else said, but when the one person you've devoted your life to protecting rejects you, can get to a person.

Slowly lifting himself up, he gave one last hopeful look at William before leaving completely.

"Woah Sean. Remind me not to get you angry." Jack said, bring the lighthearted energy he always had with him.

"You should see the other guy." Sean joked. He knew the other guy was almost unharmed, mainly because he didn't want the other guy to mess with William.

"William would be dead without you as a brother. Don't let this depressive state his's in get to you." Jack placed a pale hand on Sean's shoulder.

"Thanks Jack, but that's not what I am upset about."

"Well, I tried."

Sean shook his head as his brother walked away from him. He headed to the bathroom, locking the door behind him. He turned on the water to the shower, taking his close off and hopping in. He let the steaming hot water wet his blue hair, and wash away the feeling of Edward off of him. No matter how much he enjoyed himself, he didn't want to remember what he did to his brother.

Water washed away the dirt and caused his brusies to sting. He didn't mind the pain, thinking that he deserved it. He closed his eyes, letting his mind drift to wherever it wanted to go. It landed on a memory. A memory of Sean and William.

"Sean? Do you think I'll ever be strong enough to stick up for myself?"

"You'll never have to as long as I'm around."

"But what if something happens to you, something bad and you won't be around anymore?"

"Nothing will happen to me Willy. I promise I'll always be here for you."
