GOOD GIRL, BAD BOY

First Mistake

Its my junior year, and I want it to be just like my previous two years of high school. Calm and quiet. At school I'm kind of a loner, not a lot of friends, except for my two besties Jack and Christie. They have always been there for me when I needed them the most.

I think everything is going great until I bump into some figure, on the last day of summer while heading home. Just my luck it's Ozzy Velasquez, the school's one and only trouble maker, right where I don't need him to be.

I keep my head down and try to keep moving "Sorry" I say.

"For what? I bumped into you didn't I?" he responds like it was all his fault. Mostly because it was. But I didn't expect him to admit that.

"I guess so." I try to use that as a chance to leave but just as I am about to he grabs my wrist and I immediately look at his hand. He pulls it away as if he doesn't know what came over him.

"I have to go." I look into his eyes but I know I'll see nothing, I look down and run as fast as I can.

As soon as I get home I rush to my room and flop onto my bed.

Normally this is a sanctuary of my own personal space and don't let anyone in but he keeps snaking into my mind. And that connection I know that we had, even though it was brief, felt so real. Like I've known him my whole life.

Did he feel the connection too? He had to have right, I mean he was the first one to make eye contact and skin contact. You don't just do that with everyone you accidentally bump into on the street.

But it's late and my first day is tomorrow. I won't be needing anymore distractions then what I have at the moment.

While in my thoughts I must have dosed off sometime, because when I woke, it was pitch black outside and someone was tossing  pebbles at my window.

I go toward the window and it's none other than Mr. Troublemaker himself.
