Poppy slowly shut her front door. Her smile faded as it closed. She turned around leaning her back against the door and facing the empty house. With both parents being doctors and a big sister studying in college she often found herself home alone.

She made sure that the door was locked then she dragged her bag up the stairs and walked to her bedroom.

She opened the door to her blue painted room and walked inside, sticking a folded up paper between the door and it's frame so it would be hard to open from the outside. With no lock on her door, she had to find a way to keep intruders from entering her room.

She walked over to her bed and kicked off her shoes then she looked at her laptop. Sadie would've been posting her new video at any minute.

Poppy stared at the laptop. She had watched Sadie's videos before, just like everyone else at school. It wasn't because they were entertaining. Poppy, along with most of the people Sadie interacted with, mainly watch the videos to make sure nothing was said about them. Or at least nice things were said.

Sadie had a way of getting her subscribers to target people. She would ask them not to and then say "But it's up to you. Like I always say, you do what you want."

Poppy scratched her head and tried to convince herself that there were much better things to do. She turned to the laptop again. Homework, chores and life could wait. It would just be seventeen to twenty minutes.

She rushed over to and sat down at her study desk, opening her laptop. YouTube opened on her screen. She went to Sadie's channel.

Sadie Says

She hadn't uploaded a new video yet.

Mason's car slowly pulled up to Sadie's house. She looked at him. "See you tomorrow, kay?"

He nodded. "Yeah."

"Also, thank you for the edits on my video. Couldn't do it without you." She kissed his cheek.

"Get a room," Charlie scowled from the back seat. "You're a few feet and a floor away from one."

"Shut up, Charlie," Sadie looked back at him and shook her head. "You're so annoying."

"I know you are but what am I."

Sadie glared at him.

"Money," he mouthed. "Tomorrow."

Sadie looked at Mason to make sure he hadn't noticed. Then she flipped Charlie the bird and got out of the car.

She walked into her house and shut the door then she looked at her father who sat in the living room watching tv. He looked sad like he usually did. She frowned a little then she walked over to him.

"Good Afternoon, daddy," she smiled sitting beside him. "How was your day at work?"

He looked at her with a weak smile. "I'll admit, it could've been better."

She hugged him. "I got an A on my Math quiz today. Ninety five percent."

"That's wonderful," he grinned down at her. "What do you want to celebrate? I'll buy you anything-"

"No. It's okay."

"Are you sure? New clothes? New bag?"

"No, dad. I'm fine." She looked away. "I have to go do some homework but I'll be right back to hang out with you when I'm done. Okay?"

"Fine by me."

Sadie got up and walked up the steps. She walked into her bedroom and shut the door then she sighed and walked over to her laptop. She opened it. She was late. Her fans were probably flipping out. She had to post the video immediately.
