~Daniel's P.O.V~
As we were on the bus, I watched as we drove farther and farther away from Michigan even though it was the morning.
And we were in a completely different state now, but it still hurt to watch us drive farther away.
"Daniel you should get something to eat." Jonah said and I nodded.
I texted Caspian.
Daniel- What's your social media?
Caspian 🍉- they are all @Caspianviolet
Daniel- thanks
I followed her and added her on Snapchat...
She did the same to me and I smiled.
Caspian 🍉- FaceTime?
Daniel- sure
She FaceTimed me and I answered.
She smiled when she saw me.
"Hi." She said and I smiled.
"Hey. How are you?"
"Good, but, umm...my parents are fighting again." She said and sniffled, wiping tears from her eyes.
"I thought you only lived with your mom."
"Yeah, I do, she calls to ask about things and then they just argue because he isn't paying child support or something...." She said, more tears falling, but her voice the same with a hint of sadness.
"Sorry."
"No, it's fine, your a good distraction."
"Thanks."
She laughed. "I should be thanking you."
She picked her head up from her pillow and she flipped her camera around to a cute little kitten with orange, black, and white fur.
"It's um...this is Watermelon." She said and I grinned.
"She's so cute!"
"Yeah, she is."
Watermelon yawned and another cat jumped up on the bed and rubbed against Caspian's hand.
"This is Alpine." She said and I looked at the brown and black cat.
"Where are the others?"
"Um...Missy is here, and this one is Gingerbread." She said pointing first to Missy who was all white with long hair, and then to Gingerbread who was all light brown and had white paws and ears.
"Oohhh, I get why it's Gingerbread." I said.
"Yeah."
"How old are they?"
"Watermelon is eight months, Alpine is one and Gingerbread and Missy are two."
"Their all young."
"Yeah."
I heard her mom yell something with her name in it and she let out a soft sob.
"Caspian?" She flipped back to herself and wiped her eyes.
"Sorry, I'm fine."
"No, your not."
"My dad's threatening my mom."
"I..."
"He's telling her that he'll pay when I live with him. So he wants to go to court...."
"I wish I could do something to help."
"You could help by coming here, but that's not possible."
"Wellll...it is, but not for a while."
"Yeah."
"Um..I have to go to practice.." She said.
"Okay, bye."
"Bye." She said and smiled, hanging up.
