Pure imagination.

Sarah is sitting at the stairs in front of her Aunt's house in Pampanga. Her family decided to go there for a vacation and for her parents to take care of some unfinished business. She is busy playing with her doll alone, because her sister is inside the house doing chores. She got bored eventually and was about to go inside the house when she noticed a kid looking at her. He is standing near the door of the house in front of her Aunt's. Yes, he is a boy.

He looks like a few years older than me, about 5 ft. tall, he has fair skin, he is wearing a checkered shirt and pants that is much bigger than his size. He smiled when he noticed that I am looking at him. It is a dimple showing smile to be exact. "Cute" she said on mind as he walks toward her.

"Hi." bati nito sa kanya.

"Hello?" sagot naman niya dito.

"My name is Bamboo. What's yours?" pagpapakilala nito.

"Aba! Englishero.

"Nice meeting you, how old are you?" tanong nito sa kanya.

"I'm ten years old.

"Sarah, I just came home from the US and I don't have any friends here. Can you be the first one?" tanong nito sa kanya.

I can be your friend habang nandito kami." sagot niya dito.

Then, we became friends. We talked about things. I have learned that "Bamboo" is just his nickname, I am glad it is, I mean, who would name their kid after a plant? It's a little it weird for me. I should start calling him Francisco instead or maybe Gaudencio. His real name is Francisco Gaudencio Lope Belardo Manalac, and yes, he has 3 names and it's quite long, I know. He grew up in the states like what he said, and he just came home for a vacation, that he doesn't know until when. It's almost lunch time when we finished talking to each other. He went inside their house, I went inside my Aunt's.
