If I have anyone that is actually British, please enlighten me like what it's like there. I like learning about different cultures. Like you could just message me and talk to me about it. Hopefully, that does not sound creepy. I did not mean it that way.
Y/N'S POV
After the events that were brought to Wakandan territory, T'Challa had to step out and talk for the doubts of Wakanda's sudden interest in helping other nations. Outside of Wakanda, they had their doubts given many people was sure Wakanda did not even exist. Now, T'Challa had to reassure everyone's doubt and help push Wakanda forward.
Along those lines, T'Challa and I thought it would be a good idea to mingle outside of Wakanda. Get to meet and talk with other kings and queens around the world. I suggested we should start with Britain first.
I had heard about how a woman named Meghan Markle becoming a new member of the British royal family. Since T'Challa and I were not familiar with Britain, on a high level, we decided to do some research.
I decided to do it the old-fashioned way. I read a book. Let's let that sink in for a moment. Not using a phone or technology, but T'Challa did. I was proud of myself. Truly proud of myself.
T'Challa must have noticed because he stood up beside me and placed a kiss on my lips saying,"Way to stay strong, beautiful. Now, what does it say about Britain or royal families?"
I explained to T'Challa,"Well, there are many things here, but I will find the ones that we need to know the most. Okay, here's one: The weather is actually worse in Britain. It's worse than America, as well. Apparently, weather is common to talk about. This is interesting. When there are things like get-togethers or parties, no one likes to be the one to say they have to leave. (Not me) What?"
T'Challa asked me,"What are you confused about, Y/N?"
I made a face and said,"How are biscuits cookies?" ( Is anyone British? This one I actually want someone to explain to me. It's one I hear very much. Is it because they don't eat a lot of sugary cookies in Britain?"
T'Challa shrugged and said,"Every culture is different, my love, but this is different. Very different from what we are familiar with and I am enjoying learning these things."
I agreed with T'Challa and enlightened T'Challa with more facts about British culture. I was really glad we were going to Britain now.
One that I read to T'Challa was,"British people normally eat with knives and forks."
T'Challa asked me,"You don't do that already?"
I chuckled and said,"Of course I do, Panther. Of course I do. No. I don't. I eat with my hands still."
T'Challa laughed and pecked my lips, before I told him about the British Royal Family. I was more excited to meet them, but I don't know if we would be able to meet anyone besides from Meghan and Prince Harry.
Luckily, T'Challa took care of everything, so we could meet them, ahead of time. When we had finally made it to England, I could immediately point out some differences between England, Wakanda, America.
Given I was from America, this would be a learning experience for me. T'Challa, he already looked nervous for some reason.
I rested my hand on his face and said,"Honey, you won't mess anything up. Who knows what might happen? You may have Britain on your side after this. I know it's more than that, but you may make some new friends. I will too, because I need some."
T'Challa nodded and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle agreed on meeting us outside of the kingdom, given we didn't have that much time here. T'Challa was still needed back at Wakanda to make sure we didn't receive any more visitors like Erik.
Not that Erik was truly a bad person. He just..He had it rough and it drove him down the opposite path of T'Challa's path. Trust me, I wish we could have found someway to get to Erik, but he just was so set on having power.
Back to meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, I immediately recognized the two of them from the photos T'Challa showed me. I could tell they were in love, which was a good thing. It would be different if they looked like they wanted nothing to do with one another.
What immediately jumped at me about the two of them was they were not afraid to show affection towards one another. I had read in many instances where public affection was not always common with past couples. They were different, which resembled T'Challa and I in some ways.
However, I forgot to look up the right way to greet royal families.
Once they made it to us, Meghan said,"Are you Y/N and T'Challa of Wakanda?"
T'Challa and I nodded, before he said,"Yes and you are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry?"
They nodded, and Prince Harry held out his hand to me.
I was surprised, but I shook his hand and asked him,"Am I violating any rules by this?"
Prince Harry shook his head and chuckled saying,"If you are, I won't say a word. You two are guests, and we heard of what happened. You two seem trustworthy. Am I wrong to make that judgement?"
I smiled and shook my head.
T'Challa greeted Meghan and said,"It is an honor to meet you. On my behalf and Wakanda's behalf."
After we talked, Meghan and Prince Harry actually showed us around the kingdom and parts of England. After all of that was over, it was time for T'Challa and I to head back to Wakanda.
Before we left, Prince Harry politely rested his hand on my arm and looked me in the eyes saying,"Good luck to the two of you with Wakanda. If you need any help or advice with anything, then let Meghan or I know. We will do our best to help."
I thanked Prince Harry. Meghan gave me a hug in good-bye.
Prince Harry also said,"Hey, good luck in your marriage, Y/N."
I cleared my throat and looked over at T'Challa saying,"We aren't married, Prince Harry."
He sent me a smile and said,"Just wait for it. You will be. One day. I see it happening."
