Platform 9 3/4
Two teens, one taller than the other, just emerged from between the barriers 9 and 10 at King's Cross Station. They were followed shortly by their mother, as she quickened her steps to keep up with her kids who were walking quite fast.
"Stop you arse! We have to get to the train on time and I don't need you pushing my stuff off my cart!" the girl yelled.
With his immaturity, his logic was to bump into her cart every five seconds that their mother wasn't looking. After two, he would knock off an artifact he found reachable. Making their stay a few seconds behind.
The young girl began to have thoughts fly through her head as the crowded train station filled with loud conversations.
She never really liked the kid, but law makes her stay by his side until 18. Not only that, but so does Hogwarts.
Lies. Of course she cares. He's her brother, can be an arse and the cause of their late boarding, but nonetheless the love is there.
With laughter he received her as he boarded the train by himself and a couple of friends, "I'll see you at the dinner Vivien".
One of his friends, Cormac Mclaggen, smirked at Vivien, followed by a sly wink. Vivien fought the urge to look repulsed as the muscular figure walked away.
She scoffed and chuckled at her brother's attempt to show affection, then bid her mother goodbye, trying to walk free from her constrain of saddened farewell.
There was no father to tell Mike and Vivien goodbye, for he had been dead since Vivien was only one year old and Mike was two. Like many other innocent lives taken away too soon, he was tortured to death by some of the Death Eaters. Their mother and father were both aurors at the time, fortunately her mother made it out alive.
"I trust you to be the rational one of the both of you and try to keep him out of trouble. Am I correct? Keep an eye on Michael. After all you are a prefect."
"As always."
It was clear to anyone that noticed them that Vivien was the spitting image of her mother, along other features more similar to her father. Vivien and her mother both had the same golden brown, wavy hair, and the same blue shade of forget-me-not eyes. They both had a beauty that radiated off them.
With a kiss on the cheek and forehead, Vivien headed down the corridors of the same old, but loved train. Nothing had changed ever since first year rather than the students boarding with different heights.
The sound of first and second years screaming of excitement had filled an area of the train as the rest seemed to be quieter due to the doors being closed.
One thing that did change was a single compartment with Cho inside of it. Last year she spent the whole ride to Hogwarts crying into Hogwarts Express. This time she looked happier, but the lines of depression still etched her face.
But it seemed that Cho noticed Vivien's presence as she angrily closed the blinds to the compartment she had locked.
Vivien was dazing out as she walked through the corridors, she thought about summer, fall, and winter trying to rid of the thought about Cedric. But how could she? The boy was there when Micheal didn't want to act like the older sibling and she could never get myself to ask someone for comfort- Cedric would just... offer it.
Without even thinking about it, she moved her hand towards her neck. She landed her hand on the chain of a necklace she always wore. She pressed her fingers against the silver crescent moon that connected to the chain, and then dropped it.
