Over a hundred pack members have showed up to the Pack House over the last hour. All of them I have passed in the halls at school, theres no sign of Heidi. Yet. I stir the purple straw around in my some kind of red fruity drink watching the ice bob against one another. Jax had to leave and meet Liam at the border of course Ace sent him to work. Leaving me alone with strangers except Thomas but he's been trying to entertain this pretty red haired girl with round black glasses since she arrived 15 minutes ago. I sigh getting up from my spot on the couch Thomas looks up at me I mouth "bathroom" to him so he doesn't lose his potential date but I also know he has orders from both Jax and Liam to watch over me.

I flush and wash my hands looking at my bright eyed pale reflection in the mirror my powdered blue t-shirt and dark blue jean shorts attire stand out from all of the mini skirts and dresses the other girls showed up in. I scowl at my appearance wishing I didn't have to look so...adolescent. I open the door going back out into the hall catching Johnny from trig and Susie from history run into one of the rooms a couple doors down. I do notice one room the door is cracked with a warm glow of light beaming through... Aces room.

My feet practically run towards his room curiosity blooming. I'm a little nervous to find him in his bed with another girl but why? my heart beats faster as I get closer my hands clammy as I turn the silver nob. Peeking my head through I look around there is no sign of him and the relief I feel that I didn't find him with another girl does not go unheeded. My eyes find a long skinny black bookcase in the corner that I hadn't noticed when I was here before and to my surprise the book case is filled. I guess I half expected to find it empty or some kind of magazines maybe? The ones that guys like to read about cars or girls.. I skim my fingers over the old worn out covers he has a variety of classics starting from Jane Austen to Charles Dickens. Wow.

My eyes wander to his nightstand where there is a book lying open. I pick it up and notice the overused and wrinkled pages like it's been read a thousand times. I also notice the different notes and sticky notes that are on several pages. I read the quote that it's open to the words highlighted "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" William Shakespeare? Okay I'm intrigued. Ace does not seem like that guy to read anything nothing less Romeo&Juliet.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" I hear a growl from the doorway

I quickly turn around hiding the book at my side "sorry the door was open" my voice is small

Ace takes a swig of the beer he's holding before setting it on his dresser his violet eyes never leaving mine he wears an angry scowl. He takes long strides towards me and it takes no time before we are once again inches away from each other. My breathing accelerated as his hand reaches out to his book that I have hiding beside my side. The brief contact of his hand brushing my exposed thigh sends electricity over my skin just as quickly as it leaves. I look around the room at anything but him not wanting to make eye contact trying to dodge his reaction of me being in his room practically snooping.

He sighs "you want to get out of here?"

My eyes snap up to his but all I can do is nod afraid that my voice might shake and give away my nerves and honestly excitement. His face gives nothing away and I am not able to judge on what he is feeling like I can everyone else. He's completely closed off and this both infuriates me and scares me at the same time.

I keep my head down as Ace leads me to the front doors of the pizzeria. Neither one of us talked on the way here you could probably cut the tension in the air with a knife.

Ace clears his throat "Im hoping you like this" he asks opening the door for me

I look up at him "um yeah Jax and I have been here before" practically every weekend....
