[A/N: I had to write a paper on classical conditioning, hence this piece of work.
Also, is it just me, or has this month been very eventful/busy..?]

How’s the essay coming along?” Namjoon asked as he settled the small container of melted chocolate and pretzels into Jin’s awaiting hands.

“It’s actually going really well! The flow of the story and the information in it is a lot better than what I previously had.”

“So that conference with your professor really helped then, huh?”

Jin hummed happily as he plopped a chocolate-covered pretzel in his mouth. “Definitely! To be honest, I was kind of lost when he assigned it and said that it had to be a creative informative essay... But after meeting with him and having him edit my rough draft, I totally understand what he wants now! And what this paper should look like!”

The younger male smiled fondly, eyes twinkling at the happiness that was practically radiating off of the other male. “That’s really good to hear. This one sounds a lot better than the last professor you had.”

“Ugh. Don’t even think about bringing up that messed up psycho.”

Namjoon laughed as Jin scrunched up his nose in disgust, no doubt about the horrible experience that he had endured with said professor of last year. “Alright, alright. But can I read what you’re writing about? You never really explained, or mentioned, to me what your topic was.”

Jin set the snack container aside and tapped on the keyboard a couple of times before handing over his Mario-themed laptop to the other. “That’s because it was a work in progress, and I didn’t want you to make fun of my grammatical errors. Also, I wanted it to be a surprise.”

A pregnant silence ensued between the two until Namjoon broke it with a fully awed, “Woah,” turning to the older with genuine amazement coating his features. “I didn’t know you were so passionate about psychology.”

Jin’s cheeks and ears flushed a prominent pink as he gave a small smile, eyes darting away from the younger every few seconds. “I wouldn’t call it passionate, persay. Psychology just…. intrigues me. That’s all.”

“But still! Being able to explain classical conditioning like this is amazing. And you even managed to include both Pavlov and Watson into this! Not a lot of people know about what Watson had done, so this is very impressive! But….”

Jin cocked his head to the side with scrunched eyebrows, confused as to why the warming compliments suddenly stopped. “But...?”

Namjoon suddenly closed the device and set it on a nearby table, giving Jin a questioning look. “After reading about how a stimuli can trigger a response, it makes me wonder…”

“Makes you wonder... what?” Jin asked lowly, eyes trained onto his beloved as he creeped closer to where he was sitting on the bed.

Namjoon’s thumb delicately traced Jin’s bottom lip as his eyes darkened with mischievous hunger. “It makes me wonder,” he then leaned in until their noses brushed lightly against each other, “if I can be a stimuli?”

Jin smirked at the question and slowly wrapped his arms around Namjoon’s shoulders, leaning even further in until his lips ghosted over the other’s. “It’s a little late to be asking that question, don’t you think?”
