As he shot a line down the paper, Zero breathed calmly in and out. It would mess up his aim if he were to breath irregularly. In a brief pause in firing, he heard a door open and close, but felt no draft of air, so it couldn't have been the door to the shooting range. As he finished, Zero could hear fain noises coming from his right. He made his way quietly out of the room, closing the door behind him, grabbing his jacket off of the bench outside. The door closest to him was slightly ajar, and Zero could hear faint whooshing sounds coming from inside. He decided to see what it was, so he opened the door and stepped inside. There standing about a yard away from him was a girl, short in stature, about the same height as Yuki. Her indigo hair was tied back into a messy bun, and her eyes flicked from one end of the room to the other, as she loosed arrow after arrow into each of the targets strewn about the room. Zero watched as she seemed to draw an arrow from her quiver, put it on the string of her bow, aim, and fire all in only a second, then in the next second she had done it again, until every target had an arrow in the very center of its bull's eye. As the girl set her bow down, she suddenly spoke. "It's rude to stare you know, and this range is for archery, not for shooting." Zero was a bit taken aback at her boldness, an was a bit startled that she had noticed him. He noticed how she carried herself as she went and retrieved her arrows, as if she was trying to make herself look more confident. He could see a little bit through it though, but couldn't tell what she was trying to hide. As she collected her things, Zero continued to watch her, trying to tell if she was vampire or human. As far as he could tell, she wasn't a vampire, but wasn't completely human either. She had finished, and now walked past him silently, without sparing him so much as a glance. He watches her go, the way she walked to the end of the hallway, up the stairs, and into the grayness of shadow. He found himself wanting to follow her, to ask who she was, why she had come there, and to see if she was any threat to Yuki. He shook his head, he was being ridiculous. Zero turned away and headed the other direction, back to his room, where he would face a long night of thinking and pondering the evens of earlier, all by himself.
