Y/N POV
Beginning of the day: it is rumored that we are going to have active shooter drills today...I should be okay.
7th period:
C/N POV
The drill was just called. We have to evacuate. I don't want to die so I have to be quick to get out.
Y/N POV
OMG everyone's leaving! What do I do!? All of the sudden I feel my chest collapsing, I can't do this, great now I'm bawling. And c/n is in this class GREAT!
C/N POV
Why is y/n crying. This is just a drill. Wait that's not normal crying. She hyperventilating. Oh shit what do I do!? I didn't have to think anymore. I got up from my desk. My teacher looked at me, and I nodded towards y/n. She smiled and mouthed thank you as I went over to her.
Y/n POV
I'm rocking myself, trying to slow my breathing. When I feel someone take me on he shoulder. I turn around and see c/n. Oh no. Just then he opened his arms and said, "y/n, come here" I kept continuously saying "I'm okay" but he kept coming back with no you are not, until finally he picked me up and sat me on his lap. I finally accepted that I wasn't okay and buried my head in his neck navel as he stroked my head whispering how it was going to be okay. The last drill was called and we had to barricade. C/n is a very strong boy so he was needed to help barricade. As soon as I felt him sit me in the corner I sobbed harder. I could hear all the people moving the desks and tables. All the noise was scaring me more than anything else. The noises all stopped. And I felt someone sit next to me. They pulled me into their chest and kissed the top of my head, instantly I knew it was c/n so I cuddled up into his side until we heard the safe alert.
