Minho's P.O.V.
"Ya! Mini! Hurry up! We're supposed to show up before 3 pm!" My best friend yelled at me from outside."Since when do you get excited Min Yoongi? I'm packing my last box, calm down!" I yelled at him running down the stairs.
We were packing for Seoul. Yoongi was a year older than me and my best, and honestly, my only friend. He wanted to audition for agencies in the next year and I decided to follow him. It was his last year of high school. Lucky for him. I packed my boxes in the car accompanied by my mother's warm smile. Ah.. My mother. She was so kind.. And patient.
"You're all set sweetie?" She asked in her soft and comforting voice, her hand on my cheek.
It was funny. It was funny how.. How she always treated me so kindly, how she still treated me the same soothing way she used when I was nervous or worried as a child. I thought it wasn't showing, how anxious I was. Seoul was a big city, a place of dreams, a place of fantasies which I didn't have.
"Yes. Yes I'm good." I simply smiled."Then get in the car you slow ass!" Yoon yelled from the front passenger's seat.
"Hey! Why do you get the front seat?! Mom!" I whined.
"I'm older that's why!" He justified.
"Aish.. I can't believe you two. You still fight like kids! I can't believe I accepted that you followed him.." My mother sighed in a small laugh before starting the car.
Yoongi's P.O.V.
Finally leaving! Ah.. It felt so great. My heart barely ached knowing I would leaved my household, my brothers, my sister, my parents. I was a bit sad for leaving one of my brothers. The only one who believed I could succeed as an artist. In my family at least. I felt so much happiness in my second family, Minho and her mother. I was glad that I didn't have to leave her behind. Honestly, I wouldn't have left without her. I grew up with her my entire life, by 3 missing years, but it's a detail.
She always believed in me, in my songs. Everything. Of course, I joked a lot that she was younger and played with authority, but it was my way of caring about her.
I glanced at her sleeping face in the backseat. It was silly, how we met, how we became friends, and how we ended up in this car to Seoul. From Daegu to the never sleeping city of Seoul. I had a dream. Being an artist. A known rapper. I thought about it long enough and I thought that being an idol could also be pleasent. Also, we were starting fresh and new. A new high school, a new city, a new place to live. Thought, I knew it would be different, but I never thought it would be that different.
"What do you mean she can't go to the guy's dorm?" I roared.
"Sorry Yoongi.. I know you two used to enter by each other's windows at night when one didn't feel good, but you can't do that here. It's.. How can I say this.." Her mother started.
"Weird?" I tried.
"No! No, no.. No. Yes. I mean a little! Aish.. I'm so bad at this! Look.. In the city you can't just hop into your neighbor's room by the window." She sighed hitting her head with her hand.
Minho's mother was young. She was 38. When she adopted her, she was 24. We weren't close in age at that time, still aren't, but she always had that soft teenage attitude. She always asked me for advice. Not because I knew better in life, but I knew Minho better. She would only speak to me so.. It was a special bond that her mother didn't understand so I helped. She was really bad at being 'mom like', trying to explain in precise words. Which her daughter didn't take after her at all.I laughed."It's okay Ara. I get that we can't do that."
She sighed of relief."Good. Can I ask you a little something?"
"Sure what?" I asked.
"Watch over her for me please. I always kept her close and now, you know.. I don't want her to be all alone." She spoke in the most serious way I ever heard her.
