I flicked my lighter allowing it to spark an orange glowing flame. I held it to the cigarette that was dangling out of my mouth as I cupped the flame, shielding it from the slight breeze that was flowing. I pulled the lighter away from my face, letting go of the button as the glow vanished. I reached up to my mouth pulling the cigarette away, tilting my head back. I rested my hand and the cigarette to the side of me, my fingers resting on the side of the step. I closed my eyes as I exhaled, white smoke leaving my mouth. The back door swung open, hitting the brick wall causing the empty alley to echo. I didn't need to turn around, knowing already that it was corbyn. My head snapped forward as I brought the cigarette back to my lips.
"Brynnleigh are you fucking kidding me? Can you ever handle your problems without lighting up a death stick." Corbyn muttered leaning up against the door frame. I sighed, exhaling the smoke. He walked forward reaching for my hand, causing me to jerk it away.
"Could you fucking let me live my life and make my own decisions corbyn?" I scoffed, reconnecting the cigarette to my lips.
"Saying that you want to live your life is a pretty hypocritical to say when you're literally smoking something that's going to kill you, brynn." He sighed turning around. I frowned, wiping the cigarette back and forth on the concrete putting it out.
"Corbyn wait." I placed the half smoked cigarette back in the pack and stood up. I wrapped my arms around corbyn and kissed his cheek. "Corbyn, I love you, but you got to understand why I smoke." He dropped his head down and shook it as he laughed.
"I have to understand why you want to smoke?" I gulped and dropped my arms from around his waist, taking a step back. Corbyn turned around and I could feel daggers being thrown at me. "No brynnleigh, I don't think I'll ever understand why you smoke."
A/N
I believe the first few chapters are gonna be short but they should start picking up here after I get a few done. This is a mess, but as they go on they should start being cleaner and make some more sense.
