Chapter 37: Will you?

ZACH
We've been in the car for almost and hour and we still aren't there yet. Where ever we are going. I grab Jack hand while he looks straight ahead, now an even bigger smile spread across his face. "Why are you so giddy?" I question. "You'll find out soon, cutie." He responds with a wink. "But I want to know now." I whined. "Too bad." He says. A quiet huff slips past my lips as I stare out the window.

Finally, the car had stopped and we were at a cliff. "Jack? What- what are we doing here?" I stutter. He laughs and points to the large cherry blossom tree. I stare at it in awe and then realize there is a blanket sitting under it. "Jack..." I smile. He grabs my hand and pulls me towards the set up. There were candles lit up which flickered on the tree. The sun was setting which made it even more romantic. The lush orange-pink color of the sky had me mesmerized. "Jacky, it's so beautiful." I say, now looking at him. "I know." He responds. "Well, you know I'm not good with fancy food so I got our favorite things." He chuckles. I see him pull out Chipotle and Jimmy Johns. And wide smile spreads across my face as I grab food from his hands. "It doesn't have to be fancy, Jack. Just know that whatever you do, I will love." I blushed. He blushed with me and started eating.

~~TIME SKIP TO LIKE AN HOUR LATER~~
Jack had once again dragged me to the car and we started driving again. Growing bored of his games I kissed his cheek. a light chuckle fell from his lips. "Yes, cutie?" He asks. "Are we almost there?" I whine. "Almost." He responds. I huff and grab his hand, squeezing it. He laughs and squeezes my hand in response.

After about ten minutes we finally stop. Jack tells me to wait in the car and I oblige, even though I didn't want to stay.

JACK
Oh my, I am super nervous. I walk up to the operator and rub my hands together nervously. "Excuse me? Can I ask you a favor?" I ask. "Sure, what do you need?" He responds with a bright smile. "Well, I brought a guy with me and I want to ask him to be my boyfriend. So I was wondering if you could stop the Ferris Wheel at the top for about five minutes? If you can't that's fine." I say. "Of course! I would seriously love to see anyone be happy. I'll try to memorize which car you get in. Also, you better hurry, it's going to get dark in about 20 minutes." He responds. "Thank you so much! I owe you one!" I beam. He smiles and shoots me off to go get Zach. "Come on cutie." I say when I get to the car. He smiles and gets up. I grab his hand and lead him towards the Ferris Wheel. "Two tickets please." I say, winking at the operator. He winks back and hands me our tickets. He leads us to our carts and whispers, '24'. "Alright everyone, you know the rules! Let's get this going!" He shouts and starts it up. Zach stares or the window in complete awe. He grabs my hand and looks at the blinking lights of the boardwalk. Once we reach the top, the Farris Wheel stops, causing Zach to jump. I chuckle and he faces me. "Jack, is everything okay?" He asks. "Everything is great." I smile. "Zach, I've been meaning to do this and, I just wanted to say something. I like you, a lot. And I know you already know this but, it's hard to explain how I feel about you. It's, like, it's like time slows down when I'm with you. And I enjoy every minute with you and wouldn't trade anything in the world if they offered me something better, if that were possible." By this time, there were tears in my eyes. "Zach, I like you, heck, I love you. And every time you do the simplest things like sneeze, it makes me feel all fuzzy inside and I can't help but blush. And with all these feelings, I wanted to ask you something. Zachary Dean Herron, will you be my boyfriend?" I ask, tears now flowing down my cheeks.

"Yes! Jack, I've felt the same exact way since the day I met you, I couldn't be happier that you feel the same about me. I always thought you were affectionate towards me because, well, you're my best friend. And now, you're my boyfriend, my everything. And I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I love you, Jack Robert Avery. And that's a fact." He responds.

A/N: And that's the end. A SQUEL WILL COME OUT DONT WORRY CHILDREN. But not until Wednesday. Hehe. I'm mean. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this awful book. The sequel will be much better.
