My POV
Hayes parked the car and then we walked up to the building and we went to go and get 2 tickets the cost came to $10.75. Then we went inside and Hayes headed straight for the concessions. I laughed and walked right behind him.
"Okay what do you want," hayes asked.
"I am good," I replied, but he kept on begging me to get something.
After a while of him begging me I finally gave in and I got a small coke and a small box of candy for. We found our theater an we headed up, since we were the first in there we decided to go to the back. We took our seats and then the theater started to fill up. After all the previews and right before the movie came on he pulled me close, put his arm around me and I put my head on his chest.
*45 minutes later*
We were about 45 minutes into the movie when, Hayes, out of nowhere got tense. He got tense when Augustus was out the gas station and called Hazel Grace to come to the gas station to show her what was happening and when he said "I lit up like a Christmas tree Hazel Grace." I kissed his cheek which loosened his grip on my arm.
*30 minutes later*
I looked over at Hayes near the end when Hazel Grace was reading the letter from Augustus, and I saw that he was softly crying. I grabbed his arm and held it till the movie was over.
*Leaving the theater*
As we were leaving the movies and got in the car we were silent. After 20 minutes of neither one of us talking I broke it and said...
"Are you okay, I saw you crying near the end"
"Yeah I'm fine. What about you?"
"I'm okay, I knew it was going to happen so I didn't cry as much."
He laughed and playfully hit my arm and I did it right back to him. Afterwards, we sat there quiet and he finally pulled into my driveway and walked me up to my door even though I told him he didn't have too. We stopped at my front porch, and I turned to him and we kissed. We finally broke up and I was about to open the door and Hayes said
"Hey maybe we should have our always be okay."
I nodded in agreement.
"Goodnight. See you tomorrow okay?"
I laughed and responded
"Okay" as I walked into my house.
