Artemis Hathaway was born to Lancelot Hathaway and Charlotte Hathaway on December 5th, 2001. She was born in Norwich, England. Her father, Lancelot moved here with his parents at the age of 5. Charlotte was born and raised in Norwich.
Artemis was born after a 5 day long labor period. The doctors suspected that if by some miracle Artemis lived, she would have many birth defects. But, she came out with no health complications to her or Charlotte. Artemis's parents chose her name because it means safe in Greek.
Artemis said her first word 9 months into her life. Actually, it wasn't a word. The first thing she ever spoke was a sentence. Her first sentence was "Good morning, Mama."
She learned to walk at 10 months. She could move herself around the house unassisted before her first birthday.
For the first year of her life, Artemis lived in an upscale townhouse in her small English neighborhood. The child didn't like to spend time with others. As soon as she could walk, she would try and escape to anywhere where there was peace and quiet.
Then when she turned one, her whole life changed.
