Why Her? I've Always Been Here // A Fluttershy and Discord love story

Hi everyone this is one of my first works its a working progress and im now able to post semi daily! plz like! (also feedback and story requests are welcomed!) Enjoy!

Fluttershy's POV:

Finished feeding the last of her woodland animal friends, Fluttershy happily trots inside to the living room where she sees the sleeping Discord on the green couch. Turning slightly pink, she carefully approaches him in hope to gently kiss his cheek. As she hovers overhead Discord abruptly awakes and sees Fluttershy and assumes she came to wake him up for breakfast, oblivious to the last 5 minutes.

"Morning Fluttershy!" he says in his usual voice, cheery with a hint of mischief. Her eyes go wide, she tries futilely to suppress the apparent redness on her face,"Morning Dis...Discord," she finally squeezes out, "would you like something to eat?" "Of course! Nothing beats a classic homemade Fluttershy breakfast! except maybe a Pie family cupcake..."  Halting in her tracks, she's shocked, her nerves ablaze, her heart speeding. "Whats that supposed to mean?" she thinks, "this is the first he's ever mentioned pinkie pie like that..." In the knots of her stomach, a little monster is born, it wreathes and twists pulling at her insides; the little monster's name is envy. She slowly tries to recall every moment they've been together since his not-so-recent awakening while she whips up a meal that would obviously put a 'Pie Family Cupcake' to shame. She sees flashbacks of happy picnics in the sun, with Discord sitting a little too close to Pinke..., a cheery surprise party, thrown by the queen of pink, with Discord giving one too many compliments to the cotton-candy-haired pony, and the cherry on top being Discords recent comment of Pinkie's cupcakes. Lost in thought, she burns the toast, sizzled the bacon, and scorched the scrambled eggs to nothing but a  charred smoky blackness of a similar hue to the monster growing in the weave of her insides. "What if he does love her? No, he wouldn't! But if he does?" Her head and heart began a war of 'What if?' so she threw together a meal and trot out of the kitchen determined to end the battle of her heart and head.

After a quick and hasty-made breakfast, Fluttershy drags Discord to town wanting to prove her theory. They stroll through the town and 'accidentally' stumble upon the Pie family bakery. Entering the sweetly scented bakery they both order a cupcake to munch on. Fluttershy though doesn't care about her cupcake she too busy intently watching Discord's every move and word. She analyzes how he acts around Miss Pie, but nothing catches her attention. Leaving with her conscious cleared and thinking she was wrong earlier she happily goes about with Discord, but as they return home Discord surprises Fluttershy by announcing, "Isn't Pinkie Pie the prettiest pink pony to ever live?" he sighs contently, "Her spirit is so bright and happy all the time." She can't take another word of his nonsense and decides to pony-up and just ask him. "Discord? Are you in love with her?" He looks bewildered, but he quickly reorganizes (as organized as chaos can be)  his thought and comes out saying, "Fluttershy, I think I am!!! Yes, I am! I do love her!" he exclaims happily, but quickly shifts and states gloomily, "But she'll never love me.."
