It takes about twenty to thirty minutes to get to school since we live in the middle of the woods. My mom is a really successful Architect, and my dad is a CEO of a massive company. My mom designed our house out in the woods in a wonderful spot. We're surrounded by trees and a lake that isn't too far from our home. I don't mind it though for some reason I've always loved the woods, especially at night when the moons out. It's so pretty; my favorite thing is when there's a full moon since it lights everything on the ground. The whole forest looks extremely beautiful, and I can't get enough of it. It's like something draws me to it, I can't explain what it is, it just feels, right.
After about twenty-five minutes we finally arrived at our school, Redwood High. Our little town RedWood is an hour from the closest large city; we're about three thousand people which is small since the next town is around fifteen thousand. My dad works in the town which isn't too far from our house since we live out in the forest. It's nice though, and we don't hear anything except the sounds of animals at night roaming around. I like it; It's peaceful.
I park the car in the schools parking lot, and we get out, the boys struggle since they all tried to get out at the same time through the same door. I swear they don't use their brains at all. The first to successfully get out was Dallas. Dallas is around 6'2" which surprises me on how he was the first out. He's got blonde hair with blue eyes and a baby face. He's so adorable especially when he get's mad I can't take him seriously.
Next one out is Dylan. Dylan is dark haired with hazel eyes. He's the same height as Dallas but has a more significant build than Dallas does. Last one out is Trey. He has light brown hair with bright blue-green eyes. I've always loved his eyes, the way they sparkle when he smiles, It's so cute. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one who likes his eyes, girls at our school are all over him all the time. He's just too nice to say anything about it, his girlfriend, on the other hand, isn't. She doesn't care who you are, you look his way, and you're on her radar for people to make lives miserable.
Nothing better than high school teen drama. I turned around to grab my bag to see the boys again fighting with each other and laughing. These three, I swear they have no concept of time. "You guys are going to be late if you don't quit and get to class."
"Oh right." They all said releasing each other.
"Thanks, sis," Dylan said smiling at me and started to walk off.
"Thanks, beautiful." Dallas winked at me. You're cute little boy, but not my type. I only see him as a little brother. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Trey walking up to him. He reaches Dallas and smacks the back of his head. "Ow, that hurt, what the hell?" Trey death glared him, and that shut him up real quick. I couldn't help but smile at their childishness. Dallas quickly walked after Dylan rubbing the back of his head.
"Thanks, sis." He came up to me and kissed my forehead. "Thank you for taking care of him."
"That dork doesn't know how to take a hint, does he?" "You know our baby brother, as well as I; you know he doesn't."
"Fair enough." He chuckled, and I had to smile. "Come on," I nudged his elbow with my shoulder, "we're gonna be late if we don't hurry." He smiled and nodded his head.
A couple hours passed and classes were boring as usual. It was finally lunch time and I couldn't be happier. Food is definitely my weakness, give me food, and give me sleep and I will love you forever. I entered the cafeteria and immediately was greeted by three screaming girls in my face. "Woah, Woah, Woah. What's with the screaming?" My three best friends, of course. Macy the youngest is a pretty blonde with gorgeous green eyes and a bright personality, Whenever I'm down I can always count on her to cheer me up. Ryan the smartest and next oldest is a genius redhead with greenish-brown eyes. She wears glasses but the sexy nerd kind, not the dorky nerd that you see in the movies. Last is Rinnah. Rinnah has dark brown almost black hair with a perfect body complex. She's the oldest out of us all and is definitely the mother of the group. She has bright blue eyes that compliment her dark hair beautifully. She's extremely caring, just don't piss her off. She could definitely kick someone's ass if she needed too.
"Aren't you excited?" Ryan asked looking like she was about to scream again. "For what?" Whatever I should be excited about can't be that damn important for them to keep me from my food, and scream in my face.
"How could you forget?" Macy asked interlocking her arm with mine. "Forget what?" Ok, I'm officially lost.
"Your birthday dipshit. You're turning 18; this is a monumental moment in your life. Don't tell me you forgot about your birthday?" Rinnah looked annoyed, I know she's super excited about me turning 18, but I don't see the big deal about it. All it means is that I'm going to graduate and have to move out soon "Of course I haven't. Mom and I were talking about it this morning."
"So how dope is your party gonna be?" Rinnah had a mischievous smile. "I'm not having a party."
"Oh yes, you are." "No, I'm not it's a pain to plan, and I don't have a place to have the party."
"Good thing you're not planning the party, that I'm throwing it. for you, at your house," Rinnah said exaggerating that it is going to happen whether I like it or not. "No, no way. My parents would kill me." We went through the line, got our treys and were sitting at our table.
"No they won't It's just a party, and It's a big milestone in your life they'll be fine with it." "Yeah, you say that until they're pissed that-." I was talking when all of the sudden my phone rang. It's my mom, what's up she never calls unless something is wrong? "Mom? Is everything ok, are you and dad alright?"
"We're fine sweetie don't worry nothing is wrong." My heart immediately calmed down. "Ok good." I sighed heavily. "So what's up?"
"Your father and I need to go on a business trip for a few weeks. I'm really sorry sweetie, but we'll miss your birthday." I could hear the sadness in her voice. "That's alright mom; It's not a big deal anyways. When will you guys get back?" I could see the girls look towards each other and smirk. I death glared them and mouthed stop. They were trying to hold their laughter at my seriousness.
"I don't know. It depends how the deal goes. Your father has to meet with a few other CEOs about their companies becoming partners. If it goes well, it'll only take at least two weeks." "Two weeks?"
"At least, and that is if everything goes well. If the CEOs need time to think, aren't sure, or decide that they want to negotiate terms, we'll have to stay and wait for them to be approved before we can agree upon anything." "What is the longest you think you'll be gone." I heard a heavy sigh; I could tell she was hesitant. Could it really be that long?
"Three to four months." I was so shocked I couldn't even speak. Three to Four months without my parents. I can take care of myself no problem, but my brothers. I would basically have to babysit those three for four months. How did this happen?
