What Just Happend?

        I woke up in a hospital bed, but that was all I knew at the time.  I didn't know where my friends had gone, what day it was, what time it was, where my family was, and most importantly, where I was.  All I remebered was me at my friend's party the night before, but now it was daylight.  Then, my younger sister walked in.  That's when my whole life changed forever.

        "Em? Mommy! Emily is awake!" Caroline yelled. Caroline is my five year old sister that never knows how loud she actuallly is when she yells.  Then again, eleven years ago when I was five, I probably yelled less quiet then Caroline did.

        "Emily! Thank God you're ok!  The call from - " my mom suddenly stopped talking.

        "What happened to me mom?  Why am I here?" I asked.

        "You don't remember............well I guess you wouldn't" she says with a sigh.

        "Please just tell me whats wrong!" I say with tears holding back in my eyes.

       

        There was a long pause. It was so long, it felt like it went on forever.

        "Emily, you had a heart attack." My mom says then breaking into tears that could fill our fridge and supply a month's worth of water.

        "What!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. Suddenly everything was spinning. My life was flashing before my eyes. Then everything went black.

Now

        I look back at this day in awe. I never really knew what happend. I also didn't know this was the beginning of something that is almost impossible, but something that will put the city of Pittsfield, Massachusetts on the map.
