The illustrated man
The pictures in my skin, indelible art
Mostly by design, a window to my heart
The names of all my children, Dad and my Mum
Something cartoony, just to say I'm fun
Me in my afterlife, skateboard underfoot
Predator on my arm, nothing on my foot
A death charm on my nipple, a heart and a rose
I really want a tribal shape; on the side of my nose
A day trip to Manchester, where I got my first lizard
My first tattoo by 'Slug' was a little troll wizard
My Ying and Yang dragons, don't forget 'Invader Zims'
I really want to cover myself, every-single-limb
A God of war on my forearm, an angry moment in time
A pipe, cross and a reefer, for when I was out of my mind
Chinese symbols on my neck, they mean I love a melody
Because music is in my life and it'll never get fed-up of me
That's it for now but I'm sure I'll get some more
Ink is my heroin and the tattoo is my whore
I'll keep on paying for that pain, that scratch under the skin
Until I have no space to ink and that would be a sin

Tattoo by definition
Poetrysome people ask me why I have tattoos, what do they signify, do they hurt (er yes), what is their purpose? Tattoo by definition is a look at just that and by the way I love the ink under my skin
