"I hope it rains on you.. a little bit of lighting too"
[Crash!] Emma Swan knew that sound and she hated it. The Savior felt her heart hit her stomach as his footsteps grew ever closer. She rushed to take a brush to her hair and fix herself up, lord knows what he would do if she wasn't presentable. When the door swung open the blonde in red took a scared step back. Her eyes bloodshot and snuffed of their light.
"What is this?!" her alcoholic husband asked in a rage, his spit hitting her face. Emma glanced at the broken glass in his hand.
"I..I dropped it. I was doing the dishes and it fell." Her voice cowered under his towering gaze. His lips twitched in the way they did when he was about to say something, but before he could a booming roll of thunder reached four ears at the exact same time the power went out.
"Damnit!" Her husband grabbed her wrist tightly. "I'll deal with you as soon as I take care of this"
When he left Emma collapsed on her bed, upright of course. She felt a soft kick from inside her, the baby they shared. The small kick made Emma realize what she had to do. Taking nothing but her red leather jacket and the clothes on her back the child of true love made her way out the backdoor. She heard her husband curse loudly and sensed she had just enough time to round the house and escape without being seen. The heavy rain that fell on her body mirrored Emma's tears as they fell violently from her eyes. Where was the Savior to go? Her heart knew that answer of course.
"Regina" her thoughts echoed the name. Nodding firmly Emma booked it to the Mayor's house. Pressing that button gave her such anxiety but this was the good kind.
"Emma?" The door opened and the Queen stood there, as regal as ever.
"My god. What happened?" Emma hadn't noticed she was bleeding until Regina pulled her inside and dabbed gently at her bottom lip. When Emma winced in pain Regina knew exactly what was amiss. And Emma knew it.
