13th July 2025- 15:30pm

It was the end of a long school day. Everyone was trudging on their way back home, relief plastered onto their faces, and of course I was being delayed to go home, all thanks to her. Nagisa Shiota. She takes FOREVER to come out of school. Though I don't really mind, I mean, she is a part of the school council after all. But if your wondering why I'm even bothering to wait, it's because we made a truce that she would wait for me when I'm late to leave, and the same applies for me. God... HURRY UP!

~30 mins later~

After what seemed like years, she finally came out of this boring arse school. I smiled at her. She smiled back with a tint of blush on her cheeks. I smirked. She really did look adorable, but I don't have any romantic feelings for her, you could count us as very very VERY close friends, but, not that close. She looked up at me and said

"Karma? You okay?"

I shake my head to get out of my thoughts, "O-oh, nothing!" I said.

She smiled and tugged on my sleeve, gesturing to walk home. I looked at her and nodded as we made our way back home.

~time skip to their neighborhood~

"Karmaaaa, give me back my bracelettt!"

Yep, I just loved teasing her. "You'll have to ask politely~"

She looked at me and pouted, but then she started to show sadness in her eyes. I shrugged and gave it back to her

"Your no funnnnnn"

She puffed her cheeks and faced away from me.

"Aweeee, cmonnn, don't be like that, after all..." I leaned to her ear "I gave you that bracelet~"

Her eyes widened and she pushed me away saying in a quiet voice
"I-it's special to me.... S-so... I don't want anything to happen to it...."

I looked at her intrigued "Hmm.... Is it really that special~?"

She nodded sheepishly and continued walking. I followed close after her. As we both made it to our front doors we said our goodbyes and entered our home, sweet homes.

I find it quite a coincidence that we live right next door to each other though, since we've been friends ever since we were babies. How cute eh?

~after doing everything important for stupid school~

Ahhhhhh. Finally, I've done everything for school, now I can just kick back and relax~ I sat down and turned on the tv, then went onto the news, I mean cmon, we all watch the news once in a while right?

*News spokesman*
"Breaking news, there have been a few rumors going around about the end of the world? People have been showing off signs saying that some kind-of-alien-God accident thing has happened recently. We don't know for sure if this is true, but, we're just putting out a warning to make people aware of this very weird rumor."

I switched on another channel and tried to take in everything that they just said, 'a weird alien....god..accident..thing?' I kept wondering....and wondering. Then I took out my laptop and went onto the Internet to search this thing up. I was baffled... There were so many things of this weird God-alien thing, it was everywhere! I got a bit worried if this was true.... But I mean... Expert scientists haven't said anything about it... So there's not much to worry about.... Right?

I thought to myself if I should call Nagisa and ask her if she's heard about it. I asked my mam if I could go and visit her, she smiled and nodded. Since she's right next to me, I don't really have to walk that far, lucky she lives so near....
I knocked on her door and waited, but it only took a few seconds as I saw a figure coming towards the door. I smiled as I saw the petite and blue headed girl standing there looking up at me. "Hey!" I said, she looks at me confused .

"Why are you here at this time karma?? Its.... About..... 11pm!" I chuckled and squished her cheeks together, she looked so cute!

"I just came here to tell you about the news"

She looked up at me and looked a bit nervous.... "Y-you mean.... The alien...god... Accident... Theory....?"

I felt so sorry for her.... She's very scared about these theories... I can't stand to see her like this. The only thing that came to mind is giving her a hug, and that's what I did.

"K-karma....?"

"Shh... It's okay, I'll be here for you, I'll take care of you...."

She hesitantly hugged back and blushed a bit. So cute...in a FRIEND way.

I let her go and said bye to her, she did the same and said, "W-when you wake up tomorrow... Can you come over my place?"

I was surprised by her saying this but I agreed to her offer. "Sure."
She then smiled satisfied and closed the door.

As I made my way back in, I called for my mam. "Mam!"

Back in response she rapidly said , "YES WHAT IS ITT?" I didn't want to be rude so I walk over to her in the kitchen.

"Have you heard on the news?"

She nodded. "Those blasted theories again..."

"Yeah... But... How about if this one is... True..?"

She shook her head and looked at me seriously. "Karma, don't listen to these, we've heard many of these before" I thought about it and said,

"H-how about... If it's true this time...."

"Well... If this one is true...Then.. We are prepared, we have a helicopter, oh, you can also go and get your friend Nagisa and her parents to come along too"

After I heard that, I started to tear up... Then I thought to myself, how about everyone else....? She noticed my eyes turning a bit glassy due to my tears and hugged me tight.

"Don't cry Karma... If it happens.. All of us will look out for each other.."

"B-but, how about everyone else in our neighborhood?"

She looked uneasy at that question. I felt myself freeze.

"Darling," she took a deep breath, "W-We can't evacuate everyone..."

I teared up even more and buried my face in her shoulder.

"I'm Sorry..." She patted my head to try to make me calm. At least it worked after a few minutes."Karma, don't think too much about it, just think about something else, something that makes you feel happy and calm, that'll take your mind off it" she smiled.

I sniffled then nodded my head as I walked to my room "Night!" "Goodnight sweetie"

I was deep in thought on my bed, staring at the ceiling... All the people in our neighbor hood...What will happen to them?

I stayed up till one in the morning.But I had this unsettling feeling, as if I could feel someone. Watching me from afar. But I didn't worry about it, because I fell fast asleep.
