Welcome to Seirria junior high. Your average middle school. We have your average jocks, your average theater geeks, your average punks, your average cheerleaders, your average nerds, and your always almost average teachers. Our principal has a bad combover, and a serious addiction to coffee. And I'm pretty sure that my math teacher is at least 400 years old. But no matter how average everyone is, we all have one thing in common. At one point or another we all feel....... awkward. That is, everyone except for Jessica marbles. She hasn't had one awkward day in her life. As for me. Well..... there's a reason that they all call me,
" Awkward Alice " smirked Jessica as she leaned against Alice's locker, " fell into any more garabage cans lately."
Alice continued to stand her ground. This wouldn't be the first time Jessica stoped to say hello... today.
" what are you even doing over here " asked Alice, her voice clearly trying to get rid of her, " isn't your locker on the other side of the school."
Jessica glared at her," I'm buying my ticket to the Valentine's Day dance this friday."
" don't you need a date to go to that." Alice remarked with a smirk.
Jessica walked away, and Alice was glad to be rid of her. She glanced back over at the ticket sales. But then she stopped, no one would ask her anyway. Besides, all the boys here were either to smelly or to self absorbed or to obsessed with the Harry Potter series. She wouldn't want to go with anyone. Except maybe, Leo Richardson. He had sweet burnet hair and deep grey eyes. But he was popular, and was probably already thinking of some way to throw off this big proposal to Jessica. Besides, who would ever want to go to a dance, where they would have to dance with awkward Alice...

Alice walked up the two flights of stairs to her family's apartment. She reached for the door knob and opened it easily, she knew that her mom was home because she always forgot to lock back the door. She walked down the hall to her little bedroom, she set her book bag down with a plop and turned on her computer. She went to google search and started to tyep in panic at the disco music selection.... but she stopped. Instead she looked up pictures of some nice dresses, pink specifically to match the Valentine's Day theme. She saw burnets and blondes and blacks sporting these way too sluty for her pink dresses. Her fingers began to fiddle with her red hair. Darn red head Alice thought to herself, you could never ever go out wearing a pink or even a red dress sporting this red hair. She shut off her laptop, put on her plainly black glasses, and picked a book in attempt to stop theses dance thoughts from rushing through her head.

The next day was an unusually terrible day. Alice tripped over her own shoelace getting out her her dads BMW, she scratched the panes on her glasses when she tripped ontop of Leo. Yes ontop of him, all the while Jessica was watching. He helped Alice back up but only so that Alice could see that Jessica asked him to the dance. All hope is lost thought Alice as she walked toward her locker. But that's when she saw it, the little tip of a blue sticky note poking out of her locker. She flung it open quickly. It was a simple note.
Going to the dance? Meet me outside of the gym when you get there.
She was shocked. Was someone asking her on a date, was this just Jessica trying to make her look awkward in front of the whole school once more. Was anyone really going to show up? Alice folded up the note and stuck it in the back pocket of her jeans. As far as she was concerned, she never got the note...

Alice sat on her bed reading the note over and over again. She couldn't take it anymore, she had to tell someone. She called her friend Kaiden to come look over this with her. If anyone could help her solve her problem it would be her best friend....
