Dear Rabbit:
I smirked as I see her. The delicate her and the dangerous me. She was shy and timid, I was ruthless and bold. The helpless you and incompetent me- well, it could never happen.
¬"Dear Rabbit,"
The next day, I felt something soft and warm bump into me. "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry." her voice was soft and sweet, melodic compared to most. I can't believe it's her, right here in front of me. I wanted to met her, I wanted to touch her, I wanted to talk to her honestly. Of course it was impossible. I was a wolf, or something like that. And she, well, she was human. So purely human. It was painful really."Uh, no problem, you're fine." I manage to get out before smiling slightly. A blush spread across her face and she smiled too. She fidgeted slightly and looked ready to run at any second, however, she didn't.
"So, um, hi..." she trails off nervously. I smirk. "Hello, dear." I respond. My dear little rabbit.
Eventually we had to part. After all, this is high school and passing period is only so long. I couldn't help but think of the way her voice sounded as she told me her name.
Alice.
¬"My legs are getting weak chasing you"
A few days later I saw Alice in the hallway, just a little bit in front of me. I run a little to catch up with her. It seemed I spent my days chasing her throughout the hallways. It was odd. I was a jock, she was a nerd and not to mention a girl. A human girl. Not only am I going out of my social status for her and risking my straight girl image, but I was also going against the pack. Human-wolf relationships are practically outlawed.
Catching up to her I smile. "Hey Alice." She looks up at me, startled. "Oh! Hello Dakota." There it was. Her sweet, innocent voice. Her wide, hazel eyes. Soft, honey coloured hair cascading down her back in waves. This is why I chase her.
¬"The snow fields wouldn't seem so big if you knew"
School was over and I race to the parking lot. This past week, I had started parking closer to her in the off chance that I would get to see her. Today I was determined to get to her. I shiver as I run to my car. It was the middle of winter and there was snow everywhere. Getting to my car, I turn it on and blast the heat. After several minutes, the car starts to warm up. That's when I see her come out. My precious little rabbit. I get out of my car and am about to run to her when a voice stops me.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Ah. Veronica. I turn around and glare at her. "And why not?" I question, already knowing the answer. "Alpha doesn't approve. You wouldn't want us to have to kill her, would you?" I tense up and shake my head. "Good. Then stay away." With that, my sister vanished.
I look up once more at Alice, only to find her looking at me. She hesitantly waves. I tense up and bite my tongue. Looking at her again, I shake my head. With that, I turn swiftly and get into my car before driving off.
¬"This blood on my teeth, is far beyond dry"
I avoided her for a week. A painful week. But not as painful as tonight. Even with the Wolfsbane Potion, transformations were always difficult. Under normal circumstances, we would lose our minds on the full moon, yet still remember everything the next day. Attack anyone and everyone. The potion, however, allows us to keep our human minds during transformations. That doesn't make it much easier. We still need to attack something. Without humans or other animals around, we harm ourselves. Luckily our pack had no trouble getting food. Well, I say lucky. It's not lucky for all the things we kill.
