Chapter 24: I Want More

* Ebony's POV *

Days had passed with the company of J's dog, Taco. I sat there drowning in my own thoughts. Maybe I was the only catching feelings. Maybe there was someone else out there for me. I called Kennedy to explain everything.

Kennedy: Yeah?

Ebony: Hey Kennedy.

Kennedy: Hey Ebony.

Ebony: What you doing?

Kennedy: Eating cereal with Kendrick. You?

Ebony: Sitting here just thinking about stuff.

Kennedy: Oh.

Ebony: Kennedy?

Kennedy: Yeah?

Ebony: You know I'm falling for J. He just don't make me feel like he feel the same way.

Kennedy: Well, have you talked to him about it?

Ebony: No, but I've been throwing hints.

Kennedy: IT'S A DAMN HINT EBONY. THAT'S HIGH SCHOOL. LET ME TELL YOU WHAT YOU DO... YOU GET YO ASS OFF THIS PHONE, WAIT ON HIM TO GET THERE, & TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL. Call me later.

Next thing I know the phone hung up. Kennedy was right though, I never took the time out to actually tell him. Maybe I would feel much better if I told him.

4 Hours Later...

J walked inside the house & made himself comfortable as usual on my couch. I walked over.

Ebony: We need to talk.

J Cole: Okay. What's up?

Ebony: I don't know if you've noticed, but I've been wanting a relationship with you for a while. I'm crushing on you. It's fine, if you want to be friends...

J cut me off...

J Cole: Stop..

Ebony: It's okay if you want to be friends, really that's...

J Cole: I don't want to be you're friend.

Ebony: Well, I guess...

J Cole: I want more just like you do. I've been wanting you since the restaurant.

Ebony: Really? Well, why you didn't say so?

J Cole: I didn't want to come off so fast, ya know?

Ebony: Yeah. But, we can take our time & I can just wait...

He interrupted my words with a kiss. The best kiss I had since, well a while. I opened my eyes just to be sure it was him in front of me & it was him. I started smiling which eventually turned into another kiss. He stood up & held his hand out for me to grab. I grabbed his hand while he led me down my hallway into the bedroom. Standing there undressing one another & more kisses in the process. This was exactly what I wanted.
