Chapter 26: A Closer Look

* Kennedy's POV *

Headed down to my first doctor appointment. I couldn't wait.

Kendrick: So, what all they do at these damn appointments?

Kennedy: I don't know! I haven't been pregnant before.

Kendrick: You excited?

Kennedy: Yup.

Kendrick: Me too. Can't believe ya man about to be a daddy.

Kennedy: I can't believe I'm about to have a damn baby myself. Still hard to think about.

Kendrick: Yeah.

We pulled up to the hospital & went inside. They took us in on the spot.

Doctor: I'm Dr Thompson. I'm you're OB/GYN during this pregnancy. Nice to meet you both.

Kennedy: Nice to meet you.

Kendrick: Same here.

Doctor: Okay, so do we know for sure we're pregnant?

Kennedy: Well, I'm pretty damn sure. I took 5 test & all came back positive.

Doctor: Well, there's false positives out there. Let me have a look.

The doctor laid me back & grabbed a device with some cold gel on it. She turned on the screen, rubbing the device all over.

Doctor: Congrats. There's you're baby there.

Kendrick: It's little as hell.

I started laughing & looking at the baby on the screen.

Doctor: I'll say you're about 6 weeks along. Due date around August 20. That's y'all appointment. Reschedule next month up front, I'll print the pictures off.

Kennedy: Okay.

It was actually official. Me & Kendrick would be becoming parents in August.
