The Job of a High School Host part 3

The next day

*Mai's pov*

I was in the music room at my usual seat with my panda, drawing stuff and cake. Big sister was learning how to dance with the nice lady from yesterday, the one with the "host hopping disease". While Mori was swinging Honey around, it was kinda funny. Big sister seemed to be struggling and tripped and fell on the lady. While Tamaki was in the corner by the window. He looks sad, maybe some cake would make him happy!

I grabbed a piece of cake for him and my own piece and walked over to him, and tried to climb up on the window next to him. After seeing me struggle he picked me up and sat me next to him. "Hey little one, what brings you over here?" he asked looking down at me. I looked up at him "You looked sad so I brought you cake to make you happy!" I said smiling. He smiled and said "well aren't you the sweetest princess! if you keep that up you'll be the first female host!" and took the slice of cake and thanked me. We both ate our cake silently with smiles on our faces.

The twins walked over having seen my attempt to make Tamaki happy, they both smiled and were gushing on how cute I was.

Not long after, a guy walked in with a box saying they were new tea cups, he looks nice. The lady at the table looked down into her tea looking lost and sad. When she looked up and met his gaze they both stared at each other then she looked back down again while he kept looking at her with a lost sad gaze. Huh maybe they like each other, they would look really cute together. She looked really sad when Kyoya said that the guy was going to be studying abroad soon, then he left. 

She still looks so sad, I got up and grabbed another piece of cake and walked up to her at the table. "excuse me? miss? you looked sad so I thought you would like some cake to make you feel better" I say with a big smile on my face. I hope this works. She looks down at me and after a second she smiles and thanks me, and asks if I would like to sit with her. I smile and give her a quick hug then climb into the seat across from her. 

Tamaki, Hikaru and Karou are gushing about how cute I am and how I'm acting like a true host.

The lady takes a bite out of the cake I gave her and looks to me and smiles. I give her a big smile. Yay I made her happy! "no wonder you are Haruhi's sister, you are a natural at this, thank you for cheering me up" she said. "I get a feeling that you and that guy are kinda close" big sister says coming up behind her. The lady is surprised and freaks out a little "huh, don't be ridiculous, we hardly know each other. What makes you say that Haruhi?" she sounds kinda nervous. She then excuses herself, thanks me again for the cake and exits the room.

Honey jumpes on her back and says that they do know each other and that they are engaged. "does fieance mean they are gonna get married?" I ask, they all look at me and Kyoya says yes and explains that they are childhood friends and that their marriage was arranged. "then why did she say she didn't know him? She likes him, he likes her, they kiss, get married then live happily ever after!" I say confused. Tamaki looks at me and says that in the perfect world yes, but the guy is going away to school for a while. Kyoya continues to talk about that guy and the twins chime in towards the end and they basically say that hes boring. 

Tamaki walks up to the other hosts and says "alright everyone, we'll have to work on our strategy" we all say "which one?" "men, it is our responsibility as members of the elite ouran host club to make every girl happy!"
