"Wow! I can't believe summer is almost over, it went by so fast." Wendy said to herself, sighing as she crossed another day off of her calendar.

"Wendy! Come downstairs!" She heard her mother yell.

"Okay!" Wendy rolled her eyes and trudged down the steps to the family room. "What is it?" Wendy asked clearly annoyed.

"Honey we have some amazing news!!" Her mother said excitedly.

"WE'RE MOVING!" Her mother and father said in unison.

"We're WHAT?" Wendy asked in disbelief. "B-But it's senior year mom! What about my friends!" She continued, shocked.

"Oh come on, they were bad influences anyway" Her dad explained.

"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ME!" Wendy yelled, tears forming in her eyes.

"Oh no gurl u ain't talking to me like that no!" Her mom said while snapping her fingers.

"Nice black impression sweetie! you ATE!" Wendy's dad said, supporting her mom.

"Shut up! I hate you guys! I'm not going!" Wendy said in tears while running up the stairs.

"We're here!" Wendy's mom said excitedly as the uhaul pulled into the driveway of their new home.

"Great" Wendy deadpanned.

"You start your new school tomorrow, prepare yourself. I'll drive you in the morning" Wendy's dad instructed.

"Ugh a new school, I wonder if there'll be any clubs I like." Wendy said to herself as she started unpacking in her room. "I'm just glad I got to bring my most prized possession" Wendy said while staring lovingly at her confederate flag phone case. "Best purchase I ever made." She continued.

After an insufferable dinner with her parents, Wendy prepared for bed and picked out her outfit for her first day of school.

"I can't wait to pull up in my new jeans!" Wendy whispered to herself as she drifted off into sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm coming!" Wendy yelled, clearly exasperated as her dad wouldn't stop honking the horn.
"You're gonna be late honey!" Her dad yelled from the car window.
"Yeah, whatever" Wendy replied, still bitter she had to switch schools during her senior year.
"Don't be so down sweetie! I looked up your school online and there's a republican club! It won't be all that bad." Her dad comforted.
"Really? That's so cool!" Wendy smiled at her dad, maybe she will make friends here.
As her dad pulled into the parking lot of her new school Wendy had to say she was a bit disappointed.
"There's so many blacks here ew." Wendy thought aloud.
"Wendy! Remember what we talked about?" Her dad warned.
"Yes, I know, only make fun of the blacks when no ones watching." She replied, repeating the mantra she was taught from a young age.
"Okay have fun!" Her dad said as he unlocked the doors.
Wendy waved as she walked into the school. Stepping into the main hallway Wendy looked for any direction on how to reach the front office. Aimlessly walking forward Wendy was interrupted by someone who could only be described as a melanin queen. Dreading the conversation Wendy tried to send it as fast as possible.
