The Secret's Out

*Tsu'tey* Me, My training worriers, and some other people from the village are heading out to do the final test, so that my trainees become actual worriers. We were on our way their when I got pulled to the side by someone. We were hiding behind the bushes. I look down to see my daughter had dragged me in the bushes. She had on shorts and a shirt on, also the wolf mask that she wears to hid her face. I've seen her face before, but she doesn't want anyone else to except for me and my wife. "Reaper what are you doing here,." I scolded her. Reaper doesn't want anyone to know about her. She's tuff and brave, but she is scared of people. She learned to trust me and my wife Nie and we raised her as our daughter. "Dad you know I always come to these, but that's besides the point I have a bad feeling. Stay as far away as you can when they try and get their Ikran Makto to submit. Be safe Dad please." She said to me in a serious and begging voice. I knew that when she got a bad feeling not to take them lightly. The first time she got one we didn't listen and someone died because of it. I nodded my head and bent down to give her a hug. She wrapped her small arms around my waist. "I will don't worry." I tell her in a soft voice. I pull away from the hug and stood to my full height. "I'll be watching just in case anything happens." I nod my head and watch her take off in the trees. I walk out of the bush and walked to were the Ikran are to see my trainees ready to start. I searched the crowed and saw my wife, Jack, and Neytiri all standing next to each other. I give my wife a confused look. She pointed up and I looked above her head to see my daughter blending in with the tree leaves. I could barley see her, but she was there. I put the pieces together and knew that she must have told Nie. I watched as my trainees succeeded in tamaing their Ikran. My last trainee Negi had a lot of potential. Right now he had his pined down and was going to bind with his Ikran, but it pushed him off and he came fly in my direction. I was going to dodge ,but I was to late and he flew into me, knocking both of us down. We both got up, he dodge out of the way of something and then I was back on the ground with Negi's Ikran on top of me. I was pushing its face away to make sure it didn't bit mine off. I turned my face away because it face was getting closer. When I turned my head I saw Negi's hand hanging on to the side of the cliff so he doesn't fall off. I tuned my head back to face the Ikran and let out my battle cry as I started pushing harder to get it off me. It swiped its talons at me and scratched my leg. I let out a small yelp of pain and the next thing I knew the thing was off of me. I propped myself up  to see what happened. The sight scared me a bit. I saw my daughter standing in front of the Ikran getting into a defensive stance. I felt hands on my chest and looked up to see my wife. We both looked back at our daughter.

*My POV* I heard my dad let out a small yelp of pain. My anger boiled and I flew out of the trees at the Ikran taking it off of my father. We both went rolling, but stopped our selves. I jumped back away from it and got into a defensive stance. I needed to get the Ikran away from my dad. It lunged at me and I dodged and ran to a different side away from my dad. I knew it was following me because they all hate me and because I could hear it feet hit the ground behind me as it ran after me. I ran in between some rocks. Lucky for me it's tail got stuck. I ran past it and out the rocks as it tried to hit me. I ran to the side where my dads trainee fell off. I saw his hand, grabbed it and started to pull him up. When I pulled him up he looked at me with confusion. All I did was point at his Ikran and he got up and ran at it. In the corner of my eye I saw another Ikran going towards my parents. I knew it wasn't my parents Ikran and that it was an untamed one. I picked up a rock and threw it at the Ikrans head. It looked towards me in anger, let out a skretch and charged towards me. I moved out of the way when it got close,but I did it to early and the next thing I know the damn thing was on top of me trying to take my head off! I put my arms on its neck and pushed to keep its head away from me. I had to do something fast or I would lose my head, literally!!! So I did the only thing I could. I forced my lower body to move up and flung the Ikran off me. The down side is I was on the fucking edge when it knocked me down and know because of me little stunt to get it off me, I fell off the dame edge. "REAPER!!!!!" I heard my parents scream. I only fell for a few seconds before I caught on to the side of the cliff. I started to climb up to get to the top. When I did I saw my parents with their eyes closed holding back tears. I ran over to them because my dad was also trying to get up. I slid on my knees when I got close to my dad and I examined him. He had a long gash on his leg and it was bleeding bad, but he would be fine as long as he stayed off it. I put my hands on his chest because he was still trying to get up. He was still trying to get up as I pushed him down, but he wouldn't so I said one word. "Stop!" I yelled at him. My parents opened their eyes to see me. They both pulled me into a big hug that I had to squirm out of so that I could go get some of my medicine for dad. Before I could stand up arms wrapped around from behind me and picked me up. My dad had a look of anger on his face as I was pulled away from him. I started squirming in the persons arms and grabbing his arms so I could get him to release me, but he didn't budge. I snaked my arms around the back of his neck so I could bring his head down. As I brought his head down I brought my knee up. My knee smashed into his nose and I heard a crack before I was released and on my feet facing towards him. He was holding his nose in pain. I most likely broke his nose. Another person tried to grab me, but I ducked out of the way and elbowed him in the stomach. He took a double and I took that as a chance to back up some to get more view of my surrounding's, so that I wouldn't have a anyone at my sides. A hand landed on my shoulder. I grabbed it and then stopped what I was about to do knowing who it was. I just held his hand and he squeezed my shoulder in reassurance meaning that they are not a threat. I relaxed, but was now scared because one was coming my way and looked like he was going to grab me. I took some steps back until my back hit my dads leg. I looked up at him, while he looked down at me. Anger flashed on his face when he saw the fear in my eyes. Not anger towards me, but towards the person that was scaring me. I looked back at the man that was about to grab me, but my dad put his hand on the mans chest to keep him at arms length. "What are you doing we need to take her to chief Ralu." The man said. My eyes widened when he said that. I started to shake a bit. I was scared I didn't want to meat him. My dad squeezed my shoulder again and I calmed down a bit, but I was still slightly shaking. "Don't touch her." My dad said venom lasing his voice. I slightly flinched at his voice because he rarely uses that voice. "But-" The man was saying until my dad interrupted him. "We will take her." My dad said in the same voice. I looked down at his leg and saw it still bleeding. I got out of my dads grasp and ran in the forest. I heard "she's getting away" from behind me,but kept running till I got to were I put some healing medicine and bandegs. I ran back at full speed and started to slow down when I was getting close to them. When I was still out of their sight I slowed to a walking pace as I walked up to my dad. The man and dad where shouting at each other until the man saw me. He gave me a puzzled look and eyed the things I had in my arms. I put everything in one arm as I tapped my dads leg. He looked down at me and I pointed to the ground. He got the message and sat down with his injured leg extended out. I put everything on the ground, took some of the ointment out of the bowl and started to put it on his leg. He would grunt some times because I had to put it in the wound for it work faster. When I was done with the ointment I took the bandages and put them tightly around his leg. He grunted a lot more when I was wrapping his leg. While I was in the middle of wrapping he grunted and moved his leg a bit. I looked up at him to make sure that I wasn't wrapping it to tight. He saw me looking and gave me a nod saying to keep going and that's what I did. When I was done my mom came over and helped him up. I looked at the people behind us because I felt like I was getting stared at. Everyone was staring at me with curiosity. Two people started to head our way so I went behind my dads leg and hid behind him. I heard him chuckle softly. I poke my head out from behind dads leg to see that they had stopped in front of him. My dad took his arm from around mom and stood up on his own. I was going to yell at him that he should be taking it easy, but then I saw the two people staring at me again and went behind his leg to hid myself. My hands where on his legs when I turned then into fist. I was shaking like a damn leaf because I could still feel stars in my direction. I'm extremely scared of people, so that's one of the reasons why I stayed hidden. My dad must have felt my little movement because the next thing I know I was getting picked up by him. He had me on his hip, I put my arms around his neck and buried my head in his shoulder and didn't look up. I could feel people staring at me. I was still shaking a bit, but I guess he could feel it because he started to stroke his big hand and long fingers through my hair. My tail wrapped around my waist as I started to relax. Before I knew it I feel asleep in his arm, but not before I felt him starting to walk. When I woke up we were almost at the large tree that the chief and the other Na'vi stay at. I was scared I wasn't ready to be with the rest of the Na'vi. I'm still scared to go near anyone else, but my parents. I lifted my head up and looked at the leafs in the trees. I reached my hand out to touch them. I always loved nature, so I didn't have a problem with sleeping out side in the trees if I wanted to. Of course mom and dad would freak out tho when I didn't come home that day, but it was just cause they were worried. A lizard that was on one of the leafs jumped on my hand and started to walk to my arm. I pulled my arm back down so I could examine it. The colors on his back indicated that the lizard was a boy and that he was also a baby, just about 3 years old. He had some neon blue and green on his scales to blend with the night time life of the forest. He rested on my shoulder and wrapped his self around with his tail in a little scalie ball. I looked at the trees around for a few minutes until I felt tugging on my hair. I looked at where I felt it and saw the lizard was eating my hair. I giggled a little as I watched him spit it out. I looked back over dads shoulder and saw a big dragonfly that was the size of my palm. It was close so I took my hand and swiped it up and closed my hand around it so It can't get away. I looked back at the lizard, brought my hand in front of him and opened it. The dragonfly was going to fly away until my little baby lizard caught it and started to eat it. I watched as he devoured the bug and then looked at me. He snuggled up against my cheek and I giggled. "What's so funny?" I heard dad say. I looked at the lizard for a second not wanting to call him lizard anymore. Hmmmm, but what to name him, hmmmm aha I got it Max is going to be his name. "Max was nuzzling my cheek." I said to him as I looked up at him. He looked down at me with a puzzled face. "Max?" he questioned. I nodded as Max mad his way to my other shoulder so that dad could see him. "The lizard." He said. I shook my head 'yes'. "can I keep him." I asked in an exited voice. I was smiling under my mask and he could tell. He looked in thought for a moment as he looked down at me. "I don't know-" He was saying till I cut him off. "Please I'll take care of him. You guys don't have to do anything and if he does something wrong I'll take full responsibility, also When i'm out of the house I'll bring him with me so he can be my guard for danger, so you guys don't have to worry so much." I said in a begging voice. He looked at me then at Max. He gave a soft sigh and then smiled at me. "Sure sweety, but he's your responsibility now." he told me. I was beaming with joy until I noticed that we were entering the area where all the Na'vi were. We were getting close to the chief's rock where he stood waiting for us. We made it to a crowed of people all looking at chief Ralu. My dad seat me down on the ground and I hide behind his leg and started shaking. Chief Ralu saw us and he gestured for the crowed to part. Everyone moved out of my moms and dads way. My parents started to walk, I walked with, but stayed close behind dad and still hid behind his leg. When we were close to the rock we stopped walking. "I hear from some men that a child that they have never seen took them down, helped one of your trainees from death and threw an Ikran off the side of the cliff. Am I wrong." Chief Ralu asked my dad. "No chief that is correct." My dad said. "Then were would this child be?" Chief Ralu asked while looking around a bit for me. I poked my head out a bit and then his eyes landed on me. I squeak a bit and hid behind my dads leg again. "Child come out please." Chief Ralu said in a gentle voice. I didn't move I was to scared to, but then my dad stuck his hand out to his side. I slowly crept out of hiding and grabbed his hand and stood next to him with my head down. "H-hi." I said with my head still down. I lifted my head up a bit to see him. He was staring at me and my dads hands. "Come her child and tell me your name." he said. I didn't move, but did look up at dad as he squeezed my hand and gave me a small reassuring smile. Even after I didn't move until he tugged his hand forward a bit to make me move. After that I let go of his hand, walked up on the rock and stood in front of the chief with my head down. My whole body was shaking and I started to hyperventilate. He reached his hand out to me, but I flinched and took two steps back. "What is your name child and were are your parents." he asked me. "M-My n-n-name is-" I cut my self off when I heard a twig snap in the forest to my right. My head snapped up in that direction and I saw movement and started to get a really bad feeling. I jumped off the rock and started making my way over to were I saw the movement. The people parted the way for me. I didn't know why, but at the moment I didn't care. My tail was slashing aggressively in the air as I stopped about 25 feet in front of the yellow eyes that I saw in the darkness of the forest. I kept eye contact with it to make it know i'm not backing down and that we are equals. I moved my hand to lift my shirt, but then the thing jumped out and roared in my face, but I held my ground. It was a lizard with a dark green and blue. I could tell it was a girl because of the colors. She was 5 feet away from me, but still close enough so that I could feel her breath on me. "Get your weapons ready to attack and take it down." The chief said. I heard people moving to get weapons and I heard the lizard growl and get ready to attack. "NO!!!!!!" I yelled out and every sound I heard stopped and the lizards eyes where back on me. I moved my shirt up, grabbed my knife and held it in my hand. Her eyes trailed to my knife and she growled loudly at me, but I could tell what she was saying. "No weapons I get it." I said to her in a low voice she looked at my eyes again and I threw my knife in the ground 10 feet away from me with a flick of my wrist. I took a step closer as she searched me, but she wasn't looking for weapons or anything. I could see worry in her eyes. I was going to take another step, but she growled again telling me to take the mask off. I gave her a 'really' look under my mask, but I could see were she was coming from. I sighed "Fine" I said to her as I moved my hand up to take off the mask. When it was off I threw it next to my knife. I looked at her again, I could see my self in her eyes. "Are you looking for something." I asked as I took a step closer to her. She roared, but to me it was words. It was a cry and the words were "My child." I immediately knew what she was talking about. I moved my hands to my hair and Max climbed in my hand. "I'm sorry I didn't know that you were out their. I found him alone and he didn't leave after I feed him so I decided to keep him." I told her as I knelt on the ground and put him their. He climbed out of my hand and started to walk towards his mom. She looked at him with relief and I saw her body relax. She looked at me with grateful eyes and did a small roar in thanks. I gave her a bright smile. "Anytime." was what I said as I got off the ground. I looked at Max with sad eyes. Even tho I didn't have him for vary long I was attached to him. The mother must have saw my look because then she started talking to her child about me, but the thing that caught me off guard was when she asked if he wanted to stay with me. I saw Max shake his head yes at that question without hesitation and then he started to run my way. I got on my knee again and held out my hand for him to climb on. He did and went back onto my shoulder and nuzzled against my cheek. I giggled a bit and then looked at her. She made the loudest roar that she's done yet, but not out of anger out of joy. I some what copied the roar. It wasn't as strong as hers, but it was similar and just as happy. She looked at me in surprise and I just gave her a bright smile. The look in her eyes returned the smile and she turned away from me and back to the forest. She roared as she walked in saying that I could come and take care of her other kids if I want to. "Thank you." I yelled after as she started to run in the forest. When she was out of eyes sight I went over to my mask and knife I picked them both up at the same time and twirled my knife in my hand. When I had my mask on I threw my knife in the air did a back flip, lifted my shirt when I landed and the knife went in it's holster. I ran over to my parents with my tail swishing behind me wildly out of joy. I ran to mom and she picked me up. "Mommy Mommy I didn't know I could understand the Lizards too." I said with excitement. "And how many would that make know?" She questioned. "8. I can talk to 8 so far." I said with a big smile under my mask. "Sweet heart do you want to talk to chief Ralu now." I heard my dad say. I looked over at him with scared eyes and shook my head 'no' and then buried my head in my mom's shoulder. I started to slightly shake again. My mom past me to dad and he put me on his back so that he was giving me a piggy back. "How about he asks the questions you tell me the answer and I tell him. How does that sound?" My dad asked. "Okay" I said in a whisper as I hide my self from the chief, but Could still see him. My dad nodded then turned his attention to the chief. "What is your name and who are your parents." The chief questioned. I told my dad and he relayed the message. "Reaper is her name and the people that she is holding on to are her parents." Dad said. I reached out my hand for my mom and she took it and wrapped my tail around dad torso. "So your blood parents are Nie and Tsu'tey?" he asked. I decided to talk for my self. "No sir they found me and took me in as their own." I said from behind my dads shoulder. I kept my gaze on him as he kept his gaze in my direction. "I see. What did you mean when you said you could talk to 8 now." He asked. "I can understand and talk to 8 different species besides our own." I said to him in a proud voice like daddy taught me. His eyes widened a bit at my statement. "Can I have an example." He said his eyes still trained where my voice is coming from. "Ummmmm I don't know." I said unsure. "You can do it sweety." My dad said. I nod my head and start making a scratchy kind of tweet with the wind moving as it howled to drift it to it's location. "Dad Can you lift me up?" I asked him. "Sure thing." he says as he lifts me so my knees where up on his shoulder and the chief could now see me, but only seconds later was I take off my dads shoulder and put on the back of Roger my giant light blue bird. We flew in the Sky's and he went upside down as we went up high. "Can you take me down Roger." I asked him. He let out a loud chirp and then started to head to the ground. I got down from his back and went on his feet. He was about to past my dad and that's when I jumped off of him. I landed on the ground next to my dad and waved our way of goodbye as he did some tricks in the air and then took off. I looked at the chief to see his eyes wide on me. I wasn't behind dad anymore. Knowing that I have my mom, dad, and then my animals friends I felt more confident. I also had my little protector with me, Max. As I thought that something was trying to climb up my leg. I look down to see Max and some blood on him. I grab him up softly, but fast so I can see if he was hurt. He must have fallen out of my hair when I jumped. He had a small gash on his leg and I didn't have any medicine for him right know. I needed to get home. "Dad is this over can we go know." I asked him in a blunt voice, but kept my eyes on Max. "Chief?" My dad questioned. I could feel the chief staring at me. "I need to know more about this young one before I let you go." He said. My eyes narrowed behind my mask. I know that he can see that Max is hurt, I'm not sure if he's testing me or not, but this isn't funny. I though as anger started to boil in me. "My age is 14. I was found by my parents when I was 8 years old, I told them to keep me a secret for my own reason, I don't talk because I'm scared to, I love nature and it's animals, I would rather not talk about were I came from before I meet my parents not until I trust you and I wear a mask because I don't like the way I look. Their were done can I go now." I said as I looked him directly in the eyes. I had no respect in my voice, but I did have some anger in it as it was also completely blunt. I heard gasps all around me as I finished. I had read his mind to find out what he wanted to know about me. I could care less if he trusted me or not, but I needed to leave soon. The chief had a look with shock in his eyes, but nodded his head. I turned to my dad and went to take the bandages off him because it was healed already. When the bandages where off the only thing their was a long scare for where the gash was before. "You can do your normal activities dad, but take it easy." I told him as I got up from examining the healed wound. All he did was roll his eyes and flash me a small smile. I turned on my heals "Bye mom bye Dad see you when you get home." I said as I started to run threw the Crowed of people making sure not to touch any of them. When I got to a tree that lead into the forest I jumped on it and tree hopped my way back home.
