Chapter 1

Chapter 1- The Building

Kanna's POV

I opened my eyes to see myself in an empty room.

"What the-?" I said out loud

"Where am I?" I asked myself

I stood up and took note of my surroundings, I then walked to the door. I turned the knob.

"It's locked" I said

I looked around the room, there must be something I can use to get out of here.

I found a note taped to the end of the room.

"Welcome! You might be wondering why you're here. Ha! Like I'll tell you. Now if you want to get out you need to find a keypad and enter the passcode. Goodluck~"

"If this guy really want to trap me here why would he tell me how to get out" I said

"Oh who cares, I'm getting out aren't I?" I said and started to look for the keypad

I first checked the cabinet. Nothing in there exept some dusty clothes. I felt the clothes and found a hair clip, a box cutter and candy.I kept the things I found in my bag.

Next I tried in the sofa, I tried moving it, nothing under it. Nothing in between either.

I went to the bookshelf. There were 2 books and the rest were just toys. I picked up the two books.

I found a page booked marked in one of them I opened it and read the page, a particular sentence was highlighted.

Digit C is one more than digit A, which is twice digit D, which is ten less than digit A plus 8. Digit B is digit A+C+D minus two.

What is the number?"

I tried solving the riddle, it might come in handy when I find the keypad, who knows it might be the combination.

"So digit A is 4, digit B is 9, digit C is 5, and digit D is 2. So the numeral is 4952." I said

"4952, 4952" I said so I won't forget

After solving the riddle I tried chacking the toys for the keypad and guess what, it was behind toy cabinet. I tried the code.

"4...9...5...2" I pressed and heard a clicking sound it must be the door

"Yes" I said

I opened the door and got out of the room.

'Yeesh this hallways giving me the creeps' I thought

The hallway was dimly lit. Strange noises were coming out of nowhere.

I started walking and trying to find a way out. I found a window and looked outside.

"Shoot, I think I'm on the top floor of this building" I said

I started walking again I heard footsteps behind me. I started walking faster. The footsteps also got faster. I started running and the footsteps also ran. I ran and ran until I bumped into someone.

"Wahhh don't kill me" I said

"Why would I kill you" I hear a guy chuckle

I looked up and saw a guy with white hair.

"So what got you so jumpy?" He asked

I then remembered the footsteps that were followinh me and backed away from where I came from.
