"Fine" I said, leaning my arms on the wall. This boy was hopeless. The boy was Oliver Smith, one of my best friends along with Caleb and Katherine.
Me, Ollie and Caleb are in a team in the Special Crimes Unit for the Department of Justice and Katherine was my best friend since kindergarten.
"Really? Okay, this is hilarious, I'm telling you." he looked down at his phone and started reading the texts.
"Knock Knock.
Who's there?
Daisy.
Daisy who?
Daisy me rollin', they hatin' ", he finished laughing hard.
I smiled to myself and looked at the view of the city from where we were standing on the roof, leaning my arms on the wall, these guys were the cutest.
The person who sent him the message was Danielle Lewis, a girl from school.
Knock knock jokes were kinda their thing. They weren't a couple, but it was pretty easy to see that Ollie had a crush on her.
"What are you smiling about?", he asked, a confused expression on his face.
"Nothing, just the fact that you have a huge thing for Dani", I stated plainly.
He scrunched his eyebrows. "What are you talking about? I mean she's really pretty and funny and cool and all, but I do not like her. I mean, I like her, but I don't like-like her, you know?"
Someone scoffed behind us, "Yeah, right. You're totally in love with her". It was Caleb. He was smiling and coming over to where we were standing on the roof.
"NO I'M NOT!" he shouted,. blushing a little.
"Yeah, you are. Everyone knows, there's no point hiding it."
"Oh, shut up. Like you don't have-"
Caleb interrupted him by putting his hand on his mouth, looking flustered and laughed a little, rolling his eyes.
Ollie was saying something, but it came out muffled.
"Okay, that's enough. We have to go now, we got a call somewhere on fifth street near the-"
"Gross, dude!", he said looking at Ollie who was now laughing.
He took his hand off Ollie's mouth quickly because he licked him.
"Okay, let's go." Ollie said making his way to the roof access door.
Caleb went behind him and rubbed his wet hand on the back of Ollie's shirt.
We used this building as a secret hangout, and the place where we sit around waiting for a call. This wasn't the HQ, but it was almost in the middle of the city so it was easy to go around the city quickly. The building was basically abandoned so we didn't have to worry about sneaking in late at night because that's when we got our calls.
"I call shotgun!" Ollie shouted, as we made our way down the stairs.
"With who?" Caleb asked, putting on his mask and helmet.
"You, duh."
"Aww, can't you ride with June this time?"
"No way, dude. She goes way too fast, and she accidentally-on-purpose goes full speed on almost every speed bump whenever I ride with her. I'd rather ride a roller coaster to the top of mount Everest."
Caleb just sighed in defeat. "When is your bike gonna be fixed, anyhow?"
"They said it's gonna be a few more days 'cause they had to get some extra parts."
