"We can't just sit here and do nothing." I try sitting up, but Ender puts his hand on my shoulder and shakes his head. I sigh and lay back down.
"If we go back, we'll be killed. These ones are are crazy. Ripping at flesh and stuff like that. Not only that, we are trapped in space. The map died about three hours ago."
I bite my lip. "Still. I don't think we should keep moving forward."
"There is nothing we can do. All we can do is survive. Together." Bean flips a few controls and stands. "Elena, you almost died. Just like I need Ender and Petra, I also need you. We all need eachother. So, for now, we will thrive on what we have." Bean opens a cabnet and pulls out four medium sized bags. Bean hands them out.
Petra flips her long brown hair over her shoulder. "You should get some sleep. G'night." Petra walks into the small hallway that adjoins with five other bunk rooms.
"I should sleep too." Bean stretches and clicks the space pod into auto drive. After Bean leaves Ender and I alone, Ender turns to face me.
"There is something that I've been wanting to do for a long time." I sit up slowly, confused by what he meant. Ender places his hands on both sides of my face , his eyes searching mine for... for what?
"Ender?" I whisper softly.
"I care for you so much. I'd do anything for you... I love you, Elena." Ender softly kisses me, as if I might break. My heart is beating so loud that I swear Bean and Petra can hear it. I then return the kiss, and Ender deepens it.
