My palms were sweating. Nervousness permeates my body. "Ace, calm down." Dawn holds my hand which is now holding tight on the armrest. "Tell my mother and brother that I love them so much." I dramatically said and shut my eyes when I felt that it started to move. Dawn laughed at my reaction. "You're overreacting. Open your eyes, Ace. You're not gonna die riding an airplane! Calm down will ya?" I bit my lip and gradually opened my eyes. "Wow!" that's all I ever said. We're already high up in the sky and I can see the aesthetic cloud formations that made me gaped. I'm sitting near the window and I have a clear view of this alluring sight. My god! This is more than amazing. I heard Dawn chuckled. "Close your mouth, Ace." I hurriedly shut my mouth and cleared my throat. We're currently inside the airplane.
It seemed so fast, everything seemed so fast. It was just like yesterday when I said yes to the dean's offer and now I'm on my way. Yes you heard it right I accepted the program that the dean offered. After I talk to my mother, she didn't say yes at first but instead she wants to talk to the dean personally. After their session my mom informed me what her decision is and it's quite obvious if what it was. I think I'm still on cloud nine.
After our recognition the school processed my papers needed for my transfer. I'm gonna be continuing my 2nd-year college in another country. It's just a one year program but if I succeed in the school's expectations I might finish my college there. The school gets to pick which country they'll be sending us students and for some reason I was destined to be in the country of Korea just as Dawn predicted. Thinking about it makes my heart leaps in joy and butterflies rampaging my stomach. Dawn and I became very busy. Me for the program and her for her migration. It took me a while to finish my papers but completed it just at the same time with Dawn's. We decided that both of us will go to Korea together.
Flight time to Seoul from Vancouver is 12 hours and 18 minutes. Yes, that long. Dawn and I left the country at 4:00 early in the morning so probably we'll be reaching Seoul at night time. I'm expecting a jet lag as we arrived there. I'll be adjusting my body to the different time zone of the country. I sighed and a smile formed to my face. I still can't believe that I'll be in the same country of EXO and breathing the same air and walking on the same grounds. Seriously Ace, what's the difference between the air and grounds of Seoul to Vancouver? I frowned. EXO my dear conscience. EXO is the differentiation of both countries. There's still a lot of time before we arrived in Seoul so I and Dawn took a nap along the way. I woke up from time to time to take some toilet breaks while Dawn on the other hand has no plan on waking up. She's that tired?
I returned to my seat and stare at the vast pacific ocean. I took my phone and took a picture of it. It's just so beautiful, it is something you don't see every day. I rest my head on the window and fell asleep. I was woken up by Dawn when she said to put on my seatbelt and prepare for landing. I immediately buckled the seatbelt and that's just then as if cold water was splash over me. "We're already here?" Disbelief and excitement were mixed on the way I said it. Dawn gave me a smile and a nod. Her eyes were both glowing and dimmed. It's like holding up her extreme excitement. I somehow smiled bitterly and taps her shoulders. She smiled but her eyes doesn't. The plane finally landed. My heart beats at a tremendous pace like almost audible to everyone inside the plane. Dawn held my hand and we both smiled at each other thinking 'finally we got to be here'.
We both went out of the plane and proceeded to the arrival section. We claimed our baggage and completed all the procedures needed. It's already 8:00 in the evening here in Seoul. International tongues were heard around the place, Koreans dominate of course. Dawn's face was like an elementary kid. Gawking to each corner of the Incheon Airport. I can't blame her even me also gawks due to the extreme numbers of Koreans I saw. Not to mention it's our first time to be here. My forehead creased. Something's strange... "Dawn, why are there so many people today?" she shrugs and surveyed the place. Isanghada... (Trans: it's strange) We saw Korean girls that has professional camera on their possession. Dawn and I faced each other. "Shit!" we both uttered. Our eyes suddenly scanned around the place. I checked out the updates on their fansites about their arrival and there it is. Few minutes left and they're already here. It's a good thing we're still here at the airport.
I placed my hands on my chest and felt my heartbeat. This is so unusual for me. I can't actually describe what I actually felt right this moment. Yes, I always ogle over EXO and always squeal whenever I saw them but it's only on videos and photos. Meeting them personally doesn't match my reactions through social media. I'm basically being insane. The kerries (Korean EXO-L) rushed over to our side. My eyebrows furrowed and turn around. "Good ol'zeus," Dawn muttered but it looks like I didn't hear anything. I was too preoccupied that I can't even say a single word. EXO striding with bodyguards on their sides. They're wearing mask, some doesn't. The kerries were taking pictures and some were squealing. I can sense Dawn was saying something but I think all my senses were blocked.
They're coming nearer and nearer my breath hitched and I was holding on Dawn for support. I was staring or perhaps gawking already. They're just so handsome and so deadly. I'm talking about their aura. My eyes landed on that certain someone. My bias, Oh Sehun. 'Finally, I got to meet you personally.' I smiled and bit my lip. But as soon as I did that our eyes met, and there my heart stopped in an instant. His usual poker face, the face that shows two different emotions. His gaze didn't falter. He's still looking at me with no emotion. As they were five steps away from us Dawn pulled me to give them some space since we're blocking it. But my suitcase was in the way and so I tripped and lost my balance. I almost fell on the floor when one strong arm encircled my waist and caught me even before I fell flat on the floor. My breath hitched. "Josimhae." (Trans: be careful) His voice deep and his breath fanned my nape. It sent shivers all over the place. I slowly turn around and my eyes widen in surprise. I gulped didn't know how to react. Good ol'zeus! Am I dreaming? Am I still asleep? If I am please don't wake me up. This is too good to be a reality. Me in the arms of Sehun. Not a stranger but Oh Sehun.
I heard mutters and whispers but they're not clear. Its as if it's just the two of us. He cleared his throat and slowly removes his arms around me. I tried to regain my balance it's a good thing Dawn was there. "Th--thank you," I muttered. "You're welcome." he smiled and passed us by. His hyungs were teasing him but I can't see his reaction. As soon as they were already far within our sight, My knees immediately weakens. Dawn caught me and made me sit on the nearest bench. He's on the next level. I held my chest and heaved a deep sigh. "Good ol'zeus, Ace! You're the luckiest!" Dawn squealed. I turn to face Dawn and she was taken aback at the expression I'm giving. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked and I shook my head. "I'm dead, Dawn." she laughed. "Dead from the inside? Yeah I know." I held both of her hands. "No, like seriously. I'm dead." Her eyebrow shot up. "What the heck are you talking about?" I gulped. "Don't you think EXO-L's coming to get me?"
