We got into my car and I turned on my music again. Luke groaned but at least he didn't make any rude remarks this time.

"I've gotta say. I'm very shocked that you're going, and that you're actually dressed...well...not like I thought you would. I still don't think you'll be able to handle these parties though" he smirked.

"I'll be able to handle it. And have fun, just watch" I challenged him.

"Ha, ok" he laughed.

"Now I don't where the heck I'm going so you need to direct me"

"Hell"

"What?" I said in confusion

"You don't know where the hell you're going" he laughed. I scowled at him. "Well you're in fucking college and you're not even cursing sooo"

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes. I know he's right, but I would never admit that to him. We sat in silence for the next few minutes.

"Turn right here" he huffed. I followed his direction. When I turned the corner, I could already see the lights, hear the music, and see at least two people already passed out on the front lawn. I groaned silently.

Why? why did I come here? I ask myself. 'To prove a point to Luke' my annoying mind reminds me. I roll my eyes at the thought and take the keys out of the ignition.

"Well?" he says.

"Well what?"

"Are you coming? Or are you just going to sit there?" he questions. I glare at him and get out of the car. We start walking to the door, Luke a few paces behind me. I walk up the front porch steps and ring the doorbell and wait for someone to answer. Luke walks right by me, rolls his eyes, and walks right into the house. I decide to follow his lead, because I know that he knows what he's doing.

We walked into the already smoke-filled kitchen. Red solo cups littered the counters and sweaty bodies were everywhere you turned. Luke led the way into the living room where Meg and her other buddies were seated on the leather couch.

We walked down a short hallway that led to the kitchen. Red solo cups and bottles of any type of alcohol you could have seemed to imagine we're spread out all over the counter. I spotted Megan in the living room and pushed through the crowd to take the empty seat next to her on the couch.

"Hey Ky!! sit here!" Megan said as she scotched over and patted the small, empty space next to her. I smiled at her and took a seat.

"Hey Meg who's that hot new girl with you?" a guy with shaggy brown hair shouted, even though he was only three feet away from us.

Meg just rolle her eyes and laughed. "That's Ashton" she informed me.

"Oh" I said and nodded, just to acknowledge her.

I sat quietly while the others were already talking about next weekend party.

Another guy started to stumble his way over to the couch. He had bright red hair and had sort of a cute puppy dog look to him.

"Heyyyyy!" he shouted, clearly wasted. "So uh meg? whos your friend?" He slurred.

"This is Kylie. Kylie, this is Michael." Megan giggled.

"Uh, hi" I awkwardly waved. Michael just gave me a drunk smile and stumbled over to the kitchen to fix himself another drink.

I sat on the couch picking at a loose thread, thinking about life at home. My thoughts were interrupted by a light tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Luke.

"We're leaving." He states.

"But what if I want to stay?" I challenged him.

"No. We are leaving. Now."

"Why?"

"Because..." he huffs. "Because those guys over there keep staring and pointing at you and I don't think they have very good intentions"

"And why does that matter to you?" I ask him in all seriousness.

"It doesn't...not you I mean....its just if they were to do bad things I would have to be questioned and I don't want that. That's all." He said an quickly looked down.

"Uhhh ok then..lets go." I said and I grabbed my keys.
