Obi-wan and I fly out to the planet of Kamino and it is pouring down rain. We land our ships and I see Obi jump out of his ship. I groan and I slip my cloak on.
"Stay here R6. We shouldn't be long." I say as I mentally prepare myself to get out of the ship. I open up the cockpit and I jump out and meet Obi-wan at the door.
"Not liking the rain, Darling?" He asks and I smirk.
"Not at all. It does horrible things to my hair." I say faking vanity and he chuckles. We then walk inside to see one of the indigenous beings walking over towards us.
"Master Jedi, you are most welcome. The priminister has been expecting you." She says and Obi-wan and I look at eachother.
"We're expected?" Obi asks and she nods.
"Of course, he is most anxious to meet you. After all these years we were beginning to think you weren't coming." She says and I look at Obi-wan confused. "Now please this way."
We then go down a hallway and we walk through a door that breaks into three parts. Then I spot another one of the indigenous people.
"This is Prime minister Lama-Su, these are the Jedi masters-" She looks at us expectantly.
"Obi-wan Kenobi." Obi says with a bow.
"Vanna Circuit." I say as I too bow and the prime minister smiles.
"I trust that you will enjoy your stay. Please." He says and two chairs are dropped out of the ceiling. I look to Obi-wan and we sit. "And now to business. You will be delighted to hear that we are.... On schedule. 200,000 units are ready with a million more well on the way."
Obi-wan and I look at each other confused.
"That's... Good news." I say hesitantly.
"Please tell your master Sifo-Dyas that his order will be met on time." The prime minister says and Obi-wan furrows his brow and I tilt my head.
"I'm sorry. Master-?" Obi-wan says.
"Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas is still a leading member of he Jedi Council is he not?" The Prime minister asks and I sigh.
"Master Sifo-Dyas was killed almost ten years ago." I say and the Prime minister looks down slightly.
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. But I'm sure that he would have been proud of the army that we've built for him." He says and Obi-wan gets confused.
"T-the army?"
"Yes. A clone army, and I must say, one of the finest we've ever created." He says.
"Tell me, prime minister, when my master first contacted you about the army did-did he say who it was for?" Obi-wan asks.
"Of course he did. This army is for the Republic. But you must be anxious to inspect the units for yourself." The Prime minister says.
"That's why we're here." I say and Obi-wan looks at me and I shrug slightly. We then stand and walk out of the room passing some other indeginious people. Then we get to an area with thousands of clones in germination pods.
"Very impressive." Obi-wan comments.
"I'd hoped you would be pleased." Lama Su says. "Clones can think creatively. You will find that they are immensely superior to droids. We take great pride in our combat education and training programs. This group was created about five years ago." He says as he gestures to a unit of boys that look to be about the same age as Reese.
Oh, Reese. I wonder how he is doing? I need to check in with him a little later.
"You mentioned growth acceleration." Obi-wan says,a nd for some reason that pricks at my heart. They grow faster than normal? That's horrible.
