You just finished your dinner, and was throwing away the trash. "I'm am ready to get the hell out of here and make out with my pillow." You muttered to yourself. You turned around, and noticed you were the only person left, besides a blonde that was walking out the door.

"Arlert! (l/n)!" Shouted Corporal Levi from the door. "You two clean up this mess." He said, nodding toward the trash on the floor and stains on the tables. You opened your mouth to protest, but he was already gone. You muttered something about Levi's cleaning obsession when you noticed the blonde who was still there.

Armin stood at the doorway and sighed, then picked up the two brooms resting against the wall. He walked over to you, and handed one to you. "Shall we start then?" he said with a small nervous laugh, cheeks a bit pink. You nodded and took the brown handle from his out stretched hand. "I'll start sweeping the right side, you the left, then we can wipe down the tables."

"Yeah, okay..." You said, wondering how he was so organized, when he looked so tired. "Aren't you tired, Armin?" You asked him before he departed to his side of the room.

"Yeah, but the faster we get the done, the faster we can sleep." he said with a small smile. You nodded slowly and got to work.

(TIME JUMP X3)

You divided the left side into fourths, so it would seem easier to you. You were about halfway done with the last fourth, when you noticed a pair of ocean blue eyes staring at you. You tried not to look back, but you could sense him looking at you up and down. Your cheeks suddenly flushed red, and you looked up to see him turn his gaze away and continue his sweeping.

Armin had finished early so he sat on a table and waited for you to complete the left side. You sighed once it was done, and set the broom to the side. You turned around to go tell Armin, but he was sitting at the table with two wet cloths. You went over to him and picked up one of them. "Th- thanks for uh... Waiting for me." You stammered. You wondered why it was so hard for you to look at his eyes and say that.

"We can both do one table at the same time, it seems kinda... easier." He said, finding it hard as well to make eye contact.

After completing a few tables, you looked over to him, who was scrubbing the other side of the table. "Armin?" You said, daring yourself to make eye contact.

He looked up, locking his ocean blue eyes with your (e/c) ones. "Yes, (f/n)?" he answered, ever so gently, as saying something the wrong way could break something.

"Do you... Like it here? You always seem so... quiet." You said. You saw him smile at the question, like he was glad to have something to talk about.

"Yeah, I like it here." he answered, straightening himself up a bit from leaning towards the table. He smiled and stared at you from across the table, finding something else to say. "I'm just not the type of person to put myself out there."

"That's hard to say if you joined the Scouting Regiment, you're literally going out there." You said with a small laugh. You sat down at the table, thinking it wouldn't hurt to have a small conversation. Armin laughed a bit at the comment as well. He looked behind him for a second, then went around the table to sit himself next to you. Your arms touched ever so slightly.

"I really didn't join because I wanted to. Sure, I wanted to see what was hidden behind the walls, but my friends joined and..." His voiced trailed off as he gazed into your eyes. He looked as if he snapped out of the daze. "And, I knew I couldn't really... Live without them." he said, voice quiet and gentle, not really as enthusiastic as before.

"Why not?" you asked, searching his face for an answer.

You noticed him shift a bit closer before he hesitantly answered. "Well, they've helped me through alot of things, and I can't really let them go. And if I joined the Military Police, I wouldn't have anyone to talk to really..." He stared at you so intensely, yet so gently. He turned his face away from you, to look ahead of him. You took a moment to take in his features. His face was concentrated on something the wisest man couldn't foretell. His eyes had a long list of stories behind them, and before you knew it, you had scooted closer too.

"Here I have Eren, Mikasa, Jean, Sasha, Connie..." Then he turned back around to face you. "And I have you..." he whispered.

"Me?" You asked.

He smiled and nodded, then suddenly looked taken aback. "I- I- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- I mean, I meant to but- N-Not out loud- I mean... W-What?" He said, more to himself than to you. He stood up suddenly, and took a step back, tripping over the seat he was just in. He fell on the floor and scooted back. "I- I'm so sorry (f/n)." He said, looking up at you from where he sat on the floor.

"Armin, calm down." You said softly. You stood up and offered your hand. He stood up by himself, and took a few more steps back.

"I really didn't mean to say that out loud" He said. "I mean, I did, but... I didn't." He looked confused with his own words.

"Armin," You said, taking his hand. "Say what's on your mind."

He stared at you with wide blue eyes, searching for the right words to say. Debating on weather to tell you what was really on his mind, or what you wanted to hear. "(f/n)..." He started. "Can... CanIkissyou?" he asked, too fast for you to understand.

"Sorry, didn't catch that." You said.

He sighed and stepped closer, so that his chest was touching yours. His hand held on tightly to yours as he leaned his face closer to yours, and whispered the words very slowly. "Can... Can I kiss you?"

You looked up slightly at his ocean blue eyes that were pleading for an answer. You two were almost the same size, he was just a few inches taller. "Y- Yes..." you answered, just as slowly and quietly.

Armin smiled a bit, as a shaky nervous hand came up and placed itself behind your head. He looked into your eyes before placing a pair of warm lips gently against yours. His hand removed itself from yours and placed itself on your back, sliding you closer towards him. You placed your hands on his chest right before he let go and looked down at you, hoping for a good reaction.

You opened your eyes and looked into his. You saw his hopeful expression, and you smiled. He smiled and laughed a bit before locking himself onto you softly. You wrapped your arms around his neck, and pressed back a bit. The squeaking of the door didn't startle the trance you were in, until you heard a cat call.

You tore your face away from Armin, and saw Sasha standing at the doorway with a huge smile on her face. "Wow! I didn't know you two had it in you! Especially you Armin!" She said with a laugh.

"What do you want Sasha?" Armin said, a bit harder than expected.

"Calm your nerves, I was just coming for some extra bread, and maybe a potato or two." She said, licking her lips at the thought of the food.

You hesitantly broke away from Armin, and walked over to where she stood at the doorway. You pulled out a loaf of bread from your pocket and handed it to her. "Here, I was saving it for later but-"

"But you want me to leave so you can continue your make-out session, okay, gotcha." She said with a sly smile and a laugh. Your face turned red. You turned around to see Armins face flushed completely scarlet. "Have fun you two!" Sasha called as she closed the door behind her.

You stood there for a moment, then felt a hand on your shoulder. "We should get back to cleaning, (f/n)." He said quietly.

You placed a kiss on his cheek. "Yeah." you whispered. He gently laid his lips against yours for another few seconds before breaking free and striding back towards the table. As you kept cleaning, you noticed a new glint in his eyes.
