julianna leblanc"alright babe, let's take a tour." said elliot walking away.
"i'm not your babe." i said as i followed him.
"not yet you aren't." he said adding a wink.
"oh my god, can you just show me around?"
"fine."
he showed me the main level which had a living room, kitchen and dining room. then we went upstairs and he showed me all the bedrooms and his parents offices.
"this is really nice." i said amazed by the fact that they lived in new york city and their apartment was that big.
"this isn't it sweetie." he smirked and i looked at him confused. he took me up a ladder that i hadn't seen because it was hidden in the corner of his room. he pushed up part of his ceiling and we climbed onto the roof.
i was so scared i was looking down. "j, look up." he said and when i looked up i saw the prettiest view of manhattan. it was absolutely stunning.
"do you come up here a lot?" i asked.
"yeah, it's wear i go when i need to relieve stress or just take a break. i never bring my phone up here or anything else for that matter, i just think."
"wow, how'd you find it?"
"well as you know, my parents work a lot and they had just bought this apartment i was almost 13. i felt like i had no one to talk to because my siblings were too young, they wouldn't understand. so i would sit in my room looking around for something to do. one day, i saw the trap door in ceiling and that's how it all started." he explained.
"i understand what that's like." i said.
"what do you mean?"
"when my brother passed away my whole family was really depressed and i understood that. i just handled it in a different way. they would grieve at home with my little sister and i would go to parties and drink my worries away. it was a terrible habit and honestly i don't think i'm over it. at first my parents would ground me and get mad at me but as the years went by they gave up and only punished me if i got in legal trouble. i tried telling them so many times that i wanted and needed help but they were too focused on hayley and how perfect she was."
"is your drinking problem why your here?"
"yeah. two weeks before i met you my friend and i tried to get into our regular club but there was a new bouncer and he called the cops."
"damn."
"well i'm getting cold we should go back." i said because i was wearing leggings and a thin long sleeve shirt in the middle of winter.
"no i want to stay up here. take my sweatshirt." he said taking off his sweatshirt.
"fine but only cause i want to talk to you."
"julianna wants to talk to me!" he exclaimed.
"don't let it get to your head."
"oh it already did." he laughed.
i laid down and elliot did the same. we looked up at the sky but couldn't see any stars because all of the bright lights in the city.
"where's your favorite place you've ever been?" elliot asked me.
"australia." i said without hesitation.
"you've been to australia?" he asked amazed.
"yeah my family used to be youtube famous but we stopped when my brother died." i explained.
"wow, do people ever recognize you on the street?"
"sometimes but not often. part of the reason i changed my act so much is so that people wouldn't."
"that's crazy j." we sat in silence for a few seconds until he said, "you should start youtube again."
"that's ridiculous, the fans don't even know that caleb passed away, one day we just stopped uploading." she scoffed.
"no i'm serious. you should explain it to them along with other secrets you guys had."
"i'll think about." what he didn't know is that i had wanted to do that for years but never had the courage.
