3 - Alone

(Y/N) POV

You could not believe this. It couldn't be happing, it happened to quickly. But one thought stayed in your head. I've got to hurry, I have to save them and get the debtors contracts. You made up your mind to go back to your house where Elder Kettle was. You hurried back home as fast as you could go.

You finally made it to the house. You walked inside and called out to Elder Kettle. He came out of the kitchen and walked up to you. "Hello there young one whats on your mind?" You thought about how to say this the right way. "Well you see..."

~Time Skip~

It took you about 15 minutes to tell your story to Elder Kettle. By then tears were streaming down your face and you were feeling guilty for leaving them. But then you remembered your doing this for them and you stopped that feeling from happening anymore. Elder Kettle wiped away your tears and spoke calmly.

"(Y/N) you did all you could and I'm proud of you for doing that. Well, it does seem you have gotten yourself into a pickle. Here you should drink this, it'll help in your journey in battling the debtors. I bet most of them will not like it any bit to just hand over their contracts. So you will have to be prepared when this happens." he said. He handed you the drink and you drank it. It tasted like nothing until a second later you felt a major energy boost. You now felt like you can run a thousand miles in fields of green grass.

"Now run along kiddo because I imagine you will have a lot of work ahead of you to look forward to" he said smiling. "Goodbye Elder Kettle! Thank you!" you yelled. After you said your goodbyes you headed off on your adventure.

You walked along a dirt road for awhile. It was a nice straight line across a small bridge that lead to an open market area. You were very anxious to meet these so called debtors. But you kind of remembered that they can be harmful at times. But you pushed that thought out of your mind.

When you arrived at the market place you looked at your list of debtors. The closest ones to you were called the Root Pack. There were three of them called Moetato, Weepy, and Psycarrot. You walked south towards a large farm up ahead. You walked in the farm by using a big white gate. Then you saw them, the debtors. They were vegetables, and they were staring at you. You started to rethink why you walked in here, but when you tried to get out the gate locked and before you knew it you were trapped.

Moetato's POV

We were talking about how we were going to plan out the day. Until we saw the gate open. It was a girl, probably around 13 years old. She was wearing a black and white sweatshirt and some jean shorts. She looked cute. Ah! What am I saying? Cute? Oh please not now. Why is she here and what is she doing? Ugh, I cannot be liking this girl right now... not yet at least. What is she here for? I go over to her and say, "Umm, hey what are you doing here today?" "Oh! I was wondering if you guys are... Moetato, Weepy, and Psycarrot?" she said politely. I looked down to see a piece of parchment in her hand.

(Y/N) POV

I asked if these three vegetables were the three names on the paper. "Why yes, yes we are" Said Psycarrot a little confused. "Well I have some news for you guys. You see... well... I have to... collect your soul contracts for the Devil." You yelled quickly. They all stared at you. Oh man, maybe I should've just let it on them a little lighter. You looked back to them but there was only Moetato left. He was facing you and looking a little angry.

"Well then, I thought you would be a girl trying to find her way again. But this is more interesting to me. You want our contracts? Then you have to fight us!" he yelled. You were in shock. Fight them? I can't do that I'm not good at fighting. I don't even want to hurt them! As soon as you finished your thoughts giant dirt balls started shooting at you. You were startled at first but soon you were getting the hang of it. You shot out bullets from your fingers to the potato. He was surprised but he wouldn't give up just yet. So you kept shooting.

Moetato's POV

I started shooting dirt bullets towards her. I didn't want to hurt her but if she was going to take my contract then she would have to prove it. She's dodging them well. Wait what is she shooting at me. Some kind of bullets at me. It didn't hurt me, but it did drain my energy. She's so brave taking on a challenge like that, I mean no one has ever stood up o me like that. Maybe when this fight is done I can forgive her. My energy is almost gone and she is completely dodging my attacks. That's fine with me, as long as she's not hurt I'm happy.

(Y/N) POV

He looks tired and his face softens the longer he looks at me. Its probably just because he's tired. Or maybe... ha! Like that could happen with me. I doubt it he likes me. But there is a chance he could... Something interrupted your thought. You looked at Moetato as he sank back into the ground. Something was moving underneath you, so you moved quickly.

Weepy's POV

I rose up above the ground because it was my turn to fight. Which meant that someone beat Moetato and I had to fight. I saw the girl and I was astonished. How did she get past my brother? The thought of my brother made tears in my eyes. The next thing I knew I was crying. Oh no.

(Y/N) POV

The onion started crying. I'm guessing that one is Weepy. It felt like it was raining or at least looked like it. A drop fell on my arm and it stung a lot. Huh? Acid tears! You have got to be kidding me! I shot as much as I could at Weepy and soon he sank back into the earth too. Then something large came out of the soil. It was a carrot which I'm guessing is the one called Psycarrot.

Psycarrot's POV

I rose out of the soil and saw her. How is she that skilled to defeat my brothers that easily? I saw her determination and knew it would take a lot to stop her. So I started to use my physic powers on her.

(Y/N) POV

Psycarrot started summoning some pointy carrots towards me. I quickly dodged them and shot at him. He is the final boss from these three debtors. He looked weaker, so I kept using extra attack's on him. He finally gave up and started pulling on his leaves on his head. "A KNOCKOUT!" I screamed to no one.

Before I left I collected the Root Pack's soul contract and looked back at them. I felt guilty, so I walked over to them and told them something that's been on my mind. It was a plan to defeat the Devil himself and free everyone's souls. "If you tell someone it will spread and the Devil will hear, so don't tell anyone ok?" I asked. They all looked so happy after that. We then said our goodbyes and I was on my way.
