Joe pulled on Sal's arm, leading them to the carnival.
"Come on, come on! We have to get our tickets!" Joe's eyes lit up as he took in the aroma of all types of food.
"Slow down, I'm comin! Stop pulling on me!" Sal complained.
When the two friends reached the ticket booth, Sal stood behind Joe as he pulled out his wallet from his back pocket, fishing out money. The man standing in front of them took the cash and told them to have a great day at the fair.
There was always this certain feel to carnivals. The food was one thing, but just seeing all the people young and old having fun. Riding rides, playing games, and just having a good time. Joe loved to go on rollercoasters. Sal, not so much.
"Come on, pleaaaase! It'll be fun, I promise." Joe begged Sal to go on a ride with him as they stepped into the large gate.
"Joe, you know I don't like going on em. They give me anxiety, like I'm gonna fall off or somethin."
Joe chuckled. "Ya ain't gonna fall off, ya dope. They always make it safe."
"Haven't you watched those videos? People die on them all the time." Sal scoffed.
"No. I don't watch them. You watch them and then get scared and come to me, shaking like a baby." Joe rolled his eyes as the two jokers walked around the fair, Sal leading the way to a hot dog stand.
Sal quickly turned around and lightly punched the older man's shoulder. "Shut the hell up." He mumbled.
They ordered some corn dogs and sat down at a shaded picnic table, away from the rest of the crowd. They discussed some ideas for some episodes for the show, giggling at some of them. When they were finished, they ventured over to the carnival games.
Sal saw a baseball game and asked Joe if he could play it.
"You're gonna try to win from a sports game?" Joe joked, knowing they both weren't the best at sports.
"Hey, I have good aim, man. Give me some money." Sal stuck his hand out in front of him.
Joe gave him a few bucks and wished him good luck.
"Hit the milk bottles, win a prize." The man behind the game said with a bored tone, like he can't wait for the day to end.
Sal confidently handed the dollars to him and grabbed a ball. He looked at Joe and winked, before launching the ball at the bottles, only knocking over two out of three.
"Damn it!" Sal stomped his foot.
"Don't worry, pal. You have another shot." The guy handed Sal another ball. Sal launched the ball with all his might at another stacked three milk bottles, and knocked them all over.
Sal threw his hands up in the air and cheered. The joker next to him clapped his hands. "Good job, buddy!"
"Nice, alright pick out a prize." The man said, pointing to medium-sized stuffed animals.
Sal excitedly picked out a cute looking panda and ran up to Joe. "See! I told you I had good aim!" He said with a big grin.
Joe chucked. "Okay, okay. Let's go do something else now."
