Synopsis:

Money is power, and without it, life is meaningless. In a country whose economy is in shambles, second-year Economics university student Kimimaro Yoga understands this fact all too well, as he is surrounded by the relatively luxurious lives of his peers and struggling to make ends meet. However, his world is turned on its head when a stranger in a top hat arrives one late night at his door.

Going by the name Masakaki, the visitor petitions Yoga to come to the Eastern Financial District, a place where money flows in abundance if one offers their "future" as collateral. Although reluctant, greed triumphs reason and Yoga accepts the offer; thus, taking on the mantle of an "Entre." But unbeknownst to him, the land of wealth he has entered is an alternate realm built in the likeness of his own, where Entres are forced to participate in weekly duels called "Deals," with their collateral at stake. Pitted against his countrymen and fate, Yoga must quickly adapt in this new world if he hopes to protect his fortune and future—and discover just how much money is truly worth.

Souichirou Mikuni

33-year-old who meets Yoga in the financial district.

Spoiler:

Mikuni's asset is similar to Kimimaro's Msyu, and is named "Q." However, "Q" is not Mikuni's only asset, as it is revealed in later episodes that he has more than one.

It is revealed in episode 10 that Mikuni is the only one in possession of a black Midas card, which allows him to spin the rotary press in episode 9 and 10. The rotary press is the giant golden clock in the center of the Financial District that is able to print Midas Money in exchange for the "future." Mikuni uses the black Midas card to spin the rotary press to generate an insane amount of Midas money in order to prevent [C]'s backlash from the East Asia Financial District's bankruptcy.

Kimimaro's Asset, who takes the appearance of a girl with horns and has the ability to conjure up fire based attacks. She is a strange Asset in the sense that she does things that are unusual for an Asset, such as behaving like how a normal human does, and even asking Kimimaro to give her some of his instant ramen even though Assets do not know the definition of "eat", out of curiosity. Rather than a mere Asset/object, Kimimaro views her as a partner and as such, even went to the extent of trying to shield her with his own body when he first fought. She is curious about Q, as seen from her reaction when they met for the first time. Kimimaro named her after the unique 4-letter code that appears on the bottom right corner of every Midas Card. Her Flation abilities are "Scorched Earth", a highly destructive Mezzoflation, and "Overheated Economy", her Macroflation. Kimimaro says she might be modeled after his future daughter, but he is uncertain.
