Benjamin Siegel is known for being a cold blooded mobster, but was he really? The answer is for you to find out.
On Feb. 28, 1906, Benjamin Siegelbaum was born in Brooklyn. He vowed to rise above the poverty stricken people among him, which he did. As he got older he did what he could to make money. Sometimes he would run the crap games. He and his friends found out that someone could make more money running the games than playing them. Due to his profits, Siegel dressed very nicely and lived well as a young adult. That would continue on until his unfortunate death.
Siegel was respected, but feared? Well probably, but a person with powerful friends in politics and business is likely to be feared. Many people see him as a man who carries a gun with him wherever he goes, but that was never the case. He never carried a gun with him. In fact, he never had a gun in his home. Those are true facts.
Siegel is also known to be a violent man. Those who actually knew him didn't see that. He was a classy gentleman (his good friends say). So was Benjamin Siegel a cold blooded mobster? No he wasn't. He was said to be a good father and a very nice person to his friends. He also took care of his parents and other siblings as well, even when he got older.
