EDIT (IMPORTANT!!!!): For the names of Meng lao yezis sons, I copied them from version however it seems that there was a mistake in the translation which I will be fixing.
The trouble was that the names were translated as Meng Yi De (oldest), Meng Yi Hang (second), Meng Yi Gui (third, MTs father).
The actual names are Meng Yi Hang (oldest), Meng Yi Gui (second), Meng Yi De (third, MCs father). Now it makes sense why the chauffeur in the car kept on talking about Meng Yi De.

Ch 3.1 – Marriage Set
He Wan was indeed the master of the prestigious Yan household of Haicheng. She was Yan Sui's birth mother however the pair did not get along too well, their relations leaned more towards being enemies rather than mother and child.
However, Yan Sui had matured quiet early. With the way things were going, He Wan was worried that she would lose the power she held in the house to her son. So in order to keep her control, she had decided to create difficulties for He Wan through his marriage.
If she had found him a smart and pretty-looking wife with a strong background, she would be dropping a hammer on her own foot. She wouldn't do anything that helped her son, but that doesn't mean she would do something to aid those illegitimate children from the other families either.
She had been nit picking through all those bastard children who delivered to her for her son's marriage prospects. It wasn't because they were lacking in some aspect but because they were good. Too good.
Actually, before she had come across Meng Ting, she had been quiet satisfied with the bastard child presented by Su jiade (old wife, doesn't say lao furen), Su Si Yu. Meng Ting was foolish, abandoned, and beautiful but Su Si Yu was a debaucher who only knew to eat and drink.
Of course his life was better than Meng Ting's. His father had spoiled him rotten and held him as the apple of his eye, letting him grow more and more unrestrained.
He Wan wanted Yan Sui to have irritable days but this Su Si Yu would also bring along with him some benefits. She had crossed him off her mental list.
Feng Ze Jiao was faintly aware of the direction that He Wan's thoughts had taken. She had luckily learned of this "waste" Meng Ting just in time for the occasion. While He Wan still hadn't announced anything yet, to her the result was clear.
Although the Meng Family was old and respected in Haicheng, compared to the Yan family they fell short a grade. Marrying off an illegitimate child to a legitimate son of such a family, even if Meng lao yize wanted to complain, he still wouldn't be able to.
As for Yan Sui, with He Wan speaking, he wouldn't be able to complain too much.
Feng Ze Jiao and He Wan both left the flower arrangement room and returned home with some "good news".
While this news was interpreted as a top-tier blessing in the Meng household, it was quite the opposite on Yan Sui's side, as he was well aware of his mother's schemes and intentions.
"Fax it to me then."
Yan Sui stood up and turned towards the door as he finished his call. He saw his mother standing by the frame, lightly knocking with a gentle smile on her face. Yan Sui on the other hand looked at her with undisguised indifference. He Wan wanted to put a stop to her son's prosperity but he on the other hand couldn't be bothered with her unless she crossed his bottom line.
At one hundered and sixty five meters, He Wan only came up to Yan Sui's shoulder, who's tall body maintained a proportion of one to nine with his head. With just this build alone Yan Sui could easily sweep away many in the fashion and entertainment industry, not to mention his face that had broken a million hearts on its own. His aura was so imposing that people couldn't look him in the eye yet they still couldn't bear to look away.
Yan Sui lowered his bright eyes as looked at his mother. Though the action was a normal occurrence, it somehow struck anger in He Wan's heart who felt that the other party was looking down on her. Nonetheless, she still maintained her gentle smile.
"I know you aren't satisfied with Su Si Yu, so I won't force you. This is the seventh young master of the Meng family. His name is Meng Ting, his appearance is good and so is his temper," He Wan said as she passed a photo to her son. She added another sentence, "I think he's quite good."
Yan Sui's gaze swept over the photograph in his hand. He silently turned around and walked to his desk and sat down, his gaze turning sharper as he continued to look at the picture. All of a sudden the room was shrouded by an imposing aura. He Wan felt her heart skip a beat as she looked at the Yan Sui who had yet to speak. Finally, he uttered two words. "Not Bad."
He Wan felt the pressure in her mind lighten, however the stifling aura in the room stayed the same. She didn't let any of her thoughts show on her face as she gently laughed, "Since you like him, then it is set."
Seeing Yan Sui keep silent, He Wan took the chance to gather all the pictures on the table and rush out of the room, finally escaping that imposing aura.
Just as He Wan exited the room, Yan Sui picked up his phone and dialed out again.
"I want a complete profile on Meng Ting from the Meng family."
As soon as those people had left his room, Meng Ting hit the sheets. His dreams were filled with the same nightmarish feeling as it had been every night since he died. He had become accustomed to his sleeping conditions; even if he felt uncomfortable he was helpless.
Right now he had a more urgent problem to solve. He was hungry. Apart from the two boiled eggs that he had eaten in the school cafeteria the day that he left, not a single grain of rice had entered his body. He was young again now so he got hungry easier than in the past.
He put on some simple easy to put on clothes and headed out to look for food. As soon as he opened the door he saw a maid around thirty years of age standing watch of his room, staring straight at him.
Meng Ting stared at the woman feeling frustrated at his thwarted attempt at scrounging food. He mumbled after a while, "W-What?"
These Meng family people were really terrible. They would eat all they could and keep food from him, but they also sent a person to stare at his door. He counted on his fingers and realized that at worst he hadn't had a proper meal in three days. Three days could he marry in three days? Then he should be able to eat lots of tasty food right?
Meng Tings desire to eat lots of tasty food had now become his primary reason for wanting to marry.
The maid smiled honestly, "Lao furen wants to see you."
"Ok," Meng Ting nodded and followed behind her. Those who wanted to pass the gate with eaves had to bow their heads. Although he wanted food, he could only comply.
In fact, Feng Ze Jiao also didn't have anything to do at the moment. Although the marriage had been set, she still had to find Meng lao yize to find of a proper time to announce it. In the meanwhile she wanted to take credit for her work with Meng Ting.
"You've just returned home, are you living well?"
Meng Ting bore his impulse to cover his stomach. He hesitated and then nodded.
Feng Ze Jiao smiled. It was precisely because of this foolish and dull behavior that He Wan had chosen him. She covered her mouth to hide her smile, "There is a banquet tomorrow night, you're coming with me."
"Don't be so nervous; let me have a look at you."
"Wellok," Meng Ting nodded; he simply didn't have any reason or position to refuse.
Meng Ting always spoke with few words, and somehow it pleased the people who heard him talk. Feng Ze Jiao was no exception to this. She looked him over from head to toe then raised her hand to dismiss him, "You can return now."
"Yes," Meng Ting nodded and left the room without hesitation.
