He held my waist with a firm grip as he shifted my hips back and forth, as if he were dancing for me. Wrapping my slim, pale arms aorund his neck, I positioned myself closer to him; he smelled like the Hollister store. I could feel his chest beating while I went on my tiptoes for a kiss, but he pulled away immediatley. I gave him the weak, lost look, and waited for him to come running back into my arms like how it happens in all the movies. As he wiped his face covered in sweat, I slid my hand into the pockets of my sweater and closed my eyes. I quickly opened them again and saw that Nathan had left without a warning. It was dark, the street lights were dimmed, and I had no idea where I was.

I wrapped my arms around the medium sized box laying on the floor by my bed, resting my head on the handle. I wrinkled my nose and tried to hold back tears as I reached inside my pocket for the tiny heart shaped key that I kept with me at all times.
"I miss you, Nathan." I said, holding onto the very last of memories.
"Jade? Jade, what are you doing?" I heard a voice squeak through muffled cries.
"Oh, mom.." I looked around quickly as my mind whirled with lame excuses as to why I was hugging the remains and belongings of my dead best friend.
"Sweetie, what is this? Whats in here? Come here!" My mom shut the door behind her and came over to snatch the box away from me, but I pulled back. She shot me a worried look and opened up her palm as if she was expecting me to just hand it over.
"No!" I squeaked through a cry, and turned away; I wasnt going to let my mom see what an insane, human being her daughter has grown up to. My hands began to shake as I imagined the scene when it happened.
It seems like it was just yesterday. June 26, 2005; the day when I might have accidently murdered my best friend.
