I panted and wiped the water off my face. I ran to where my friends, Alana, Valicia and Melanie. Du Lan Lan, Do Valili and Da Melalie, as Valicia calls them. My name is Sally, or Di Sahllie. I just came 1st in 100m breastroke. Valicia came 2nd and Alana and Melanie were in a different race. "Go Di Sahllie!" screamed Valicia. I made a face. "Just listen to the beat of Di Sahllie!" yelled Valicia. She started making vomiting noises. "Sally, you have the 200m freestyle now!" Melanie said. "Oh, yeah!" I replied. I got onto the block. Alana was behind me in heat 2. Valicia and Melanie had to do a training for their house because they were competing against the best of the houses.
The siren went and I jumped into the water. Ok, arm, arm, arm, breathe! Arm, arm, arm, breathe! I kicked as fast as I could. I tumble-turned and then swam back to the other end. It was a 100 metre pool. Only 5 more metres...... Yes! I put my hand on the wall, huffing and puffing. The other contestants were really close to me. "Yay! Sally, Sally, Sally, Sally!" People were cheering from the sidelines. Wow, I love swimming.
