Abigail|
My alarm rang at exactly 6:00 am. I turned over to snooze off the obnoxious noise that was coming from my iphone.
The bright light from the window made everything in the room very visible giving me motive to get up from bed. Daylight savings had just begun in New york, so it was beginning to become pretty light outside early in the morning. I walked into the bathroom that connected to my bedroom and began getting ready.

"Good morning Ali" I said to my roommate as I exited out my bedroom.
"Morning hun" She replied while she typed into her laptop.

Allison was my roommate freshman year of college at NYU. At the time she was a Junior so having her by my side was a great advantage. Being that I came to New York on my own from Florida, she understood the adjustment I had to make. She introduced me to all the spots; bars, food, clubs, rooftops, thrift shops, museums. Most importantly she introduced me to the best designers, she had a way with people. Luckily we both majored in fashion, making us stick together and eventually moving into this beautiful, yet very expensive NYC Condo.

"Mona said she needed you at the bakery today?" Alison questioned finally looking up from her laptop.

"Yeah, she said someone called out sick yesterday when we spoke, so I offered." I replied as I poured a cup of orange juice. She rolled her eyes and walked over to the kitchen counter.

" I literally don't know how you can handle with some of the customers that come in and out of that shop." Her aunt owned the bakery near Canal street for 10 years. She treated me like her own as soon as I was introduced to her so I try my best to thank her in any way possible.

"It's really not that bad, you're just an asshole" We both laughed as I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

As I opened the door to the bakery, the smell of freshly made cinnamon rolls hit me instantly.

"Good morning Abigail." Mona greeted me into a hug.
"Good morning" I responded. She gave me a warm smiled and headed back to doing what she was doing.
I walked to the back of the bakery to put down my stuff in Mona's office, soon enough I was ready to start working. I walked back into the front of the shop and began to make some of the orders that were placed online.

"I really appreciate you coming in today." Mona blurred from the cashier area while going through some receipts.
I gave her a warm smile. "Anything for you Mona, Anything" I gave her a light peck on the cheek while I made my way to settle the 'To Go' coffee cups on the counter.

"Soo, You've heard that Carl and I have been trying to fix up the place and extend it a bit yeah?" I nodded giving her a cue to continue.

" A really good friend of mine has a son who's a construction manager, very very serious about his job, he's worked in so many places, for so many well known people and he has offered to stop by today to check out the place!"

I couldn't help but smile at how excited she sounded while talking about the man and what would be happening. The place was old school, most of the costumers always complimented how they loved the vintage look, but of course, every time Alison walks in here she's always mentioning to Mona that she needs to make the bakery more "Modern" to attract more tourists.  I'm guess it's gotten to her head at this point.

Before I was able to reply, the bell from the doorway went off, entering the shop was a very handsome man. He wore a very causal black sweater with some black jeans slightly hanging from his waist, the looks of a typical customer.

"Wow Harry! How much You've grown" Mona spoke interrupting my focus on the man that had to be who she was expecting. While they spoke I focused back on to the online orders.
