Facing him

"Miss are you sure you're alright?" One of the paramedics asked me, as he kept on checking up on me. "Yeah......." I nodded my head, despite being in a still very obvious traumatized state.

Then right after, a police officer approached me. Examining me and asking wether I was hurt or in any way related to the terrible conflict between the two men.

I didn't know how to react at his words.

So I slowly nodded my head without saying a word.

The police officer raised his brows by surprise, before he grabbed a pen and something to write. For former informations I'd be giving him.

"In what way are you related to the crime that occurred, miss?" He said as he looked up to me again, ready to write something down.

I gulped hard before looking up at the police officer. Meanwhile the paramedic had told me that I was fine, just stressed out and gave me a reassuring smile before taking his leave.

"H-he is my boyfriend." I confessed. The officer kept on staring at me as he asked, "who is?"

Again, I took a deep breath "Park Jimin. He was handcuf-"

"Oh miss, I am well aware who Park Jimin is.
Trust me."

My eyes widened. How does he-
I had the answers to my questions myself as I remembered that Jimin had been captured and watched by the police since his teenage years, during the time his mother died.

"So he is your boyfriend, huh?" The officer scoffed. "If I were to give some advice. I'd say to keep yourself away from him. This man's nothing but trouble and danger."

Oh trust me, I know.

"It's not that easy though.." I said looking back down on the ground. "May I ask why?" The officer questioned, as a slight sound of suspicion could be heard in his voice.

"We-we.." I stuttered as I wasn't so sure how to put things in words. "We have a son together."

"What?" The officers jaw fell open upon hearing what I said, while he almost dropped his pen. "What do you mean, you have a son together? Since when? How old is he? Where is he?" The officer bombarded me with questions. But I couldn't blame him, it was his job to do so.

"He's currently sleeping at home, with my brother watching over him. He is four years olds, but I had been raising him as a single mother since Jimin didn't live with us nor did I know where he was." I gulped before continuing. "He showed up some months ago and promised me that everything would change for good, so I gave him a second chance. But then he began to act suspicious and I followed him-"

"And let me guess. You landed here?" The officer asked as he kept writing everything down. "Yes."

"Anything else?" The police officer said.

"The injured man. Kim Taehyung is an old friend and a work colleague of mine..." I murmured.

The officer stopped writing and turned back to me. "So you're familiar with both men?" I nodded my head. "What can you tell me about the relationship between those two?"

"Not much. I just know they didn't like each other." The officer hummed in understanding.
Before I asked "Is he still alive? I mean Kim Taehyung."

"He is. But his state is still critical. I just hope he'll be fine." I bit my lower lip as I asked the officer one more question. "And where can I see Jimin?"

He stopped all his doings before looking at me with curios eyes. "In the police department, where else. He is arrested for attempted murder, miss."

I held back my tears from falling as the officer looked at me with pity in his eyes. He wished me all the luck before excusing himself and taking his leave, as well.

And there I was, all alone once again.

Not sure what to do now. I got in my car and drove towards the police department.

-

"Lee Min-yeon. I'm here for Park Jimin. The officer nodded his head, before leading me to a quiet room. Filled with nothing but a table and two chairs, I took a seat and was told to wait as the officer left, to bring me Park Fucking Jimin.

I had waited for about five minutes. And so many thoughts had rushed through my mind during that time.

But I was teared out of my thoughts when the door opened revealing a handcuffed blonde haired man, that I knew so well.

The police officer gave us 5 minutes to talk before he left, telling us once again that we shouldn't dare to do anything 'stupid', since everything would be recorded.

Jimin rolled his eyes at the man and took his seat in front of me.

And now it was only us two.

Facing each other, without saying a word. But I had to break the ice, so I began talking.

"Explain it to me Jimin." I said simply. And he stared at me blankly. "You wouldn't understand." "I wouldn't understand what? Just tell me Jimin! I'm sick of this. All those secrets you're hiding from me! How are we supposed to live a happy life together, when I don't even know you!" I blurt out.

But Jimin kept calm. He just stared at me emotionlessly. "Why did you do this to Taehyung??"

Jimin shrugged. And that was what scared me. He didn't even bother to explain as he pushed the inner side of his cheek with his tongue.

"He wanted to take you from me" he said nonchalantly. I furrowed my eyebrows "What do you mean?"

"He wanted to ruin our family and steal you from me. So he'd have the privilege of you staying by his side forever." He told me. Still not showing any sign of emotions.

"You just never see such things. Because you're too naive for the world. You always see the good in people while shutting completely everything negative out. Meanwhile people like Taehyung take advantage of your kindness, trying to get to you in other ways. But you just never see.

Or what else do you think was his goal as he invited you to a 'business meeting' that wouldn't even take place."

"What do you mean Jimin?"

"There was no business meeting, he tricked you , alright." He said monotonously. "How do you know?"

"It hurts to see that you don't believe me." He chuckled slightly, before he turned serious again. "I did some investigation on him."

"Even if that was the case. Was it really necessary to go that far? Taehyung is in the hospital fighting for his life" I exclaimed desperately.

But Jimin tilted his head to the side while smiling at the ground.

And then it hit me. Jimin always tilted his head  and smiled so shamelessly when his sinister side came to show. And now, even I had to admit one thing.

Jimin was,
a psycho.

"Still.." I looked deeply into his dark, almost black eyes. "You didn't change Jimin."

"You never will. You'll always become worse, if you continue like that." I stated.

"And you know that yourself."

I stood up, leaving the room but stopped in front the door. Turning my head to the side "Jae won't know about this."

And with that I smashed the door close.
