The lighthouse is on fire. Something happened. But that's not the problem. Someone's on their way down.
"We're in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean? How could..." Johnny tells me, concerned.
"I don't know, but you better get down there, there's splicers coming and whoever it is, won't last long." I order, Johnny. He runs quickly to the Bathysphere Bay.
I soon hear Johnny's screams over the radio. I feel sad for a moment, but I've lost so many, and grieving now will do no good.
Stop crying, kid. I hear his voice. He's not worth crying for, he was pathetic. Was not, I think.
Johnny was an amazing man, just trying to survive in this hellhole, like everyone else.
"Would you kindly, pick up that short wave radio?" I say to the stranger on the other side. Fontaine adds the phrase "Would You Kindly" to anything he wants, I've learned. He's never told me why.
"I don't know how you survived that plane crash, but I'm not one to question Providence." I may not question Providence, but I question this stranger. "I'm Atlas, my aim is to keep you alive. But we gotta get you to higher ground."
I know the splicer that killed Johnny is still lurking, I'll have to take care of it before it takes care of my new friend.
"Take a deep breathe, and step out of the Bathysphere, boyo." The stranger's a bit slow to come out of the mechanical sphere. I'm not surprised, he did just witness a murder.
"Now that there splicer is still hanging around, I'll draw her out but you just have to trust me."
I grab the remote to my right and turn on the hacked security bot.
"This will help ya out."
I turn on the spotlight and single out the splicer. I order the bot on her and she goes down quickly.
"How you like that sister!" I'm glad to have gotten revenge on the bastard that killed my friend. Sad that it had to come to it.
"I'll be watching you through this bot here and the security cameras. Now, Would You Kindly, pick up that wrench and tell me your name, boyo?" Fontaine comes through.
"M-my name?" His voice is squeaky at first but he clears his throat and it becomes more clear. "My name's Jack."
