*Kara's POV*
It had started out as a normal day. I never would've thought it would've ended with me on one of the tallest buildings in National City at 2:36 in the morning. And thinking about jumping.
I had woken up at 6:45 and changed into a skirt and blouse. Then I put my hair in a low bun and headed out the door. I had decided to walk to work today because I was running early.
The elevator doors opend and I walked over to my desk and Snaper started- well snapping at me. He started screaming about something that I can't remember at this point.
I just continued to walk to be desk and pulled out some papers. After about an hour I had a question for James, so I got up from my chair and walked over to his office.
When I walked in, I found Lena and James kissing abruptly. About 3 weeks ago I wouldn't have cared as much as I did. But ever since Mon-el had come back with Imra, any sight of a relationship gave me mixed emotions. Emotions of anger and sadness. I tried to be happy for them. But every day it had been getting harder and harder.
I cleared my throat as a sign for them to stop. They pulled a part from each other and looked at me blankly. I finnaly tried to brake the ice. "I was just wondering if these are the correct prints you wanted." I stepped closer to James to show him the prints.
He looked at them and put on an angry expression. Instead of answering me he walked over to Lena and wisperd something to her and she exited the room closing the glass doors behind her.
He walked back over to me "Are you kidding me Kara?" He said rasing his voice and walking over to his desk. I put a shocked expression on my face. "I asked you to get me these prints to me 2 weeks ago. Eve ended up doing it. You were supposed to get the CNN leak prints to me today." He screamed
"James, I'm sorry, I've just been a little busy lately with su-" I tried to explain
"Supergirl I know. " he picked up his baseball " Kara I know, that your a superhero. But you have a real life too. And I can't just jeep covering for you. I'm your boss now." He lowerd his voice in disappointment
"There's just been a lot going on lately. It's just really hard to explain." I lied. The real reason I was so distracted was because of Mon-el.
He shook his head" just. get. Me. The. Right. Prints" he said slowly
I nodded. I now realized James thought I was dumb. He thought I couldn't handle my own job. And mabye he was right. I had been so distracted lately, I didn't make time for anything else but supergirl.
So after I got James the right prints and finished my day at Cat.co I headed to the DEO. For a while the DEO was like my safe place. It was where i got to be someone I was proud of. Supergirl. But ever since Mon-el had come back with Imra, it felt more like a torture facility.
It was somewhere I had to go everyday and watch the love of my life in love with someone else.
I flew on to balcony. Before my toes even touched the ground Alex came running. And she looked mad. I half smiled at her, to see if she was mad at me or something else. Her face stayed the same.
"I cannot believe you Kara." She shouted. I gave her a puzzled look, not knowing what I had done wrong. "You were supposed to be here 2 hours ago."
